Johnny Depp Talks Pirates 4!!
We guess they are OVER it!!
The always seks Johnny Depp confirmed this weekend that Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom will NOT be returning for the new installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean cashcow franchise.
Depp, who is currently promoting his latest Tim Burton collab Alice in Wonderland, said this weekend:
“We’re coming at it from a different angle at this point, Rob Marshall and [a] totally new take, it’s a new story. I don’t think we’d ever throw too much Jack Sparrow in there. There will be a little bit of everybody."
Well if those two are out, then a little bit of who else???
Apparently Geoffrey Rush will be back as Jack Sparrow's frenemy Captain Barbossa and Penélope Cruz has signed on as a new character!!
We're not too devastated that Knightley or Bloom will be sitting this round out. Neither of them their characters are that interesting so we're curious to see where the story will go.

# 4 was boring, hope they have a better story.
I was excited till you got to Penélope Cruz. urggg. Orlando Bloom + Keira Knightley's characters were awesome! If it werent for them none of the movies would have had a plot, 'sept maybe the 3rd one.
I am more excited now that I know they are out of the movie. They were going to be so annoying if they were in the 4th. It allows for a new line of characters (like Penelope) to be created. C'mon Johnny/Rob, invent some new villains and heroes!!!

orlando and keiras characters were the most boring part of the movie! the only reason this movie made anything was because of jack sparrow. in my opinion the fourth could and probably will be the best of them all because they are out of it.

i'm over hearing this story. Orlando and Keira said they were done with pirates when AWE hit theaters… back in 2007
You can have too much Jack Sparrow. It happened with the 2nd movie, and that's why it sucked so hard. Jack needs a worthy ally or enemy to bounce off jokes with, so Barbossa and hopefully the rest of the cast will fill that role nicely.

The last one sucked. Johnny is great in the charactor but that is not enough to make a good movie. Penelope Cruz sucks unless she is in a Spanish speaking role. Orlando Bloom is one of the worst actors out there and is to feminine, so he sucks also. But I would miss Keira Knightley, if she is not in the movie.

I probably will ’cause I've seen the other two, but I guess if it's mosty about Captain Jack Sparrow looking for the fountain, they don't need the other two anymore. Hopefully it doesn't suck. It definitely could keep going, with the third one ending the way it did, but still.
Part 2 sucked, part 3 was one of the worst films of all time. They need to stop milking it. Depp's character was good, cool, original, in part 1. boring now

Johnny in the new alice' press conference never said something about Keira or Orlando! …….Orlando said no cause Will's character doesn't come bak in this part but we don't now about Keira she said 1 year ago that she hadn't been call..they don't gave her any new script ..and everybody said then "Keira won't come back to a 4th pirate's movie" …….she said one time " I wouldn't like they replace Elizabeth with another actress then i would repeat the role"

Will & Elizabeth aren't in the new movie, which is about the Fountain of Youth. THR just reported that Ian McShane may play the part of Blackbeard. Depp, Geoffrey Rush, McShane - could be pretty funny.

They pretty much wrapped up Keira and Orlando's storyline in the last installment. I would however like to see Pintel and Ragetti and the other crew mates. Jack Sparrow is "Pirates." I just hope it's not a musical lol!
Loved all 3 Pirates of Caribbeans movies. I thought the 4th one could still be good, until you mentioned Penelope Cruz. What the hell? Shouldn't she be doing some Spanish foreign film or sth? She doesn't fit in this movie.

DON'T PUT Penelope Cruz ON THE MOVIE!, she's awful, she can't act. I'm a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, I have all the movies at home and I have been waiting for this one a long time; all the waiting for this bullshit. I won't see it if she is in it. Her damn accent it's so distracting. She's BAD even when she speaks spanish (tell me about it, that's my language), and don't even make me start on her looks (she looks sick all the time, like AIDS sick).
