      Making a candid speech in front of a live audience is a nerve-wracking and uncomfortable experience. She's a movie actress–she's not necessarily comfortable in this sort of venue. She did better than I would have.

      But then, I don't hate the gal like you do. I've never seen her movies, nor am I smitten with Robert Pattinson. Whatevs.

      I just think she was nervous. To speak in front of all of those people, actually almost anyone would be nervous. I speak in front of smaller groups all the time and I can tell you, the nervousness never goes away.

      I am not a Twilight fan. I prefer my vampires scary, not sparkly. She either didn't think she was going to win and didn't practice her speech, or she didn't care and didn't practice her speech.
      What did we learn from Kristen? Practice your acceptance speech, even if you don't think you'll win. Then you'll get up there nervous, excited, stomach in knots, and you'll know what you're saying, who you want to thank, AND you won't pull a Kristen.
      BTW, eye makeup was an awkward shade for her skin tone. This is real life, not your vampire movie. You can wear makeup specifically designed to make you look…well…not dead!
