What a dick!

ESPN's Pardon the Interruption co-host Tony Kornheiser had some catty and downright insulting comments regarding SportsCenter anchor Hannah Storm. And he let his opinions be know on the air!

He said:

She was wearing "a horrifying, horrifying outfit today. She's got on red go-go boots and a Catholic school plaid skirt … way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now."

"She's got on her typically very, very tight shirt. She looks like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body … I know she's very good, and I'm not supposed to be critical of ESPN people, so I won't … but Hannah Storm … come on now! Stop! What are you doing?"

"She's what I would call a Holden Caulfield fantasy at this point."

WTF is he talking about?!

The douche apologized on his radio show, but it wasn't enough for ESPN!

"I was wrong," said Kornheiser . "This is sort of what I do, and I'm sorry for it. … Not the first time and won't be the last time, but I apologize for it this time."

He's been suspended, but the time frame is unknown.

Stoopid.

      wow, what an asshole!

    2. 2

      ugh sports

    3. 3

What a douche… Hannah does take it over the top, but she also has an incredible body to pull it off.

    4. 4

PTI is the best sports show period and Kornheiser is the man. So STFU Perez you don't even know who he is.

    5. 5

Why does he have to be suspended for telling the effing truth?? If she wants to dress like she is 19 and hang around the boys she better be able to take what is dished out…

    6. 6

Well, it was certainly unkind and bad manners, but…did anyone at the office take a cell phone photo of Hannah Storm? Because if what he said had a grain of truth to it, well, then Hannah may need to reassess what's appropriate attire for a gal her age.

      Just sayin'.

    7. 7

of course he is a asshole BUT i dont see women suspended for saying the same shyt about men and other women alot. But hey! there always has to be a double standard in life :/

    8. 8

he was only suspended for 2 weeks. plus everything he was saying was true!

    9. 9

You can tell that you've never turned on ESPN in your life Perez. Tony Kornheiser created and produces the show that he was suspended from and he and Michael Wilbon are probably the second highest rated duo (behind Mike and Mike who you lambasted a few weeks ago). He said the comments on his OWN show that's NOT affiliated with ESPN at all. And yeah, Hannah Storm does need to dress her age. And he's suspended for 2 weeks. Freaking ESPN has it on their own site! Get with it!

    10. 10

PTI is the best show and Kornheiser always speaks his mind. So, I'm not surprised. I think Hannah should stop dressing like a whore around her mostly male co-workers. Obviously she's only doing it for attention.

    11. 11

Tony Kornheiser was exactly right about her! Although I would have like his comments more if he would have talked about how horrible or a sports anchor she is. He didn't deserve to get suspended.

    12. 12

How could he possibly think those comments are acceptable?? He needs to be sent to Sirius/XM if that's his style. P.S. She is gorgeous.

    13. 13

      Team Kornheiser!

    14. 14

Although inappropriate to air his dismay on the air, he probably is not the only one with this opinion.

    15. 15

plus he did not call her a whore, slut or anything like that. he was saying the truth.

    16. 16

He was abysmal on Monday Night Football.

    17. 17

Sounds like someone tried and was denied!!!!
Uh, dude, it is painfully obvious that you wanted to touch her lady bits and she said no. Stop humiliating yourself by trying to hook up with women who are so far out of your league that you are playing different sports!

    18. 18

I think Holden Caulfield is the main character in the book Catcher in the Rye. Not sure though…

    19. 19

She dresses like a whore, obviously. As she is old and surrounded by young athletes. He was totally right and should have gone further. If you can't take the locker room heat, unless it is a hand up your micro mini, find another job. $10 hooker sounds about right.

    20. 20

Kornheiser is an asshole!Thank god that f'n tool is no longer on Monday night football.Enjoy your unpaid vacation Tony!

    21. 21

HE deserves it. After college I did an internship for a broadcast studio that specialized in interviews for news and sports programs. While I was there this guy needed to use our facilities. Well he was the biggest dick I have ever met and I've met a few. Its just karma and I am sure he has more coming to him.

    22. 22

You shut your fat ass up about this man.
He is an amazing sportscaster with a sense of humor youll never understand perez.

    23. 23

I'm glad somebody had the balls to question her taste in clothing.

    24. 24

I'll bet the real truth is that he has a chubby for her and has been rebuffed, and just like a 6th grade buy who's had his first snub, he verbally attacks her, I mean come on, commenting on thered boots, catholic skirt and tight blouse, sounds like a fantasy to me….In fact I'm gonna rub one out now to her…….

    25. 25

Well, it's hilarious, and probably true. I'll bet she looks desperate in clothes too-young, but on the other hand, sounds like he might be a bit jealous of her for some reason.

      26

Maybe if more people called out 40-somethings who try to dress like their teen daughters, the women wouldn't do it so much. She's rich; how hard is it to dress her age?

    27. 27

hilarious… yea, he probably shouldn't have said that about a colleague, but he kind of has a point. I'm not a huge sports fan but from the times i've seen his show, he makes fun of a lot of people - that seems to be his thing. I think it's kind of over the top for ESPN to suspend the guy!

    28. Lavi says – reply to this

      28

perez your an effing clown, you shit on people all day that you don't know and then call Kornheiser a douche for calling someone out that he actually knows. you're a fucking doucey hypocrite, i pray for the day when the world grows tired of you. i remember drawing cum stains and dicks when i was 12, aren't you pushing 40?

    29. owly says – reply to this

      29

why does perez say the guy is stoopid and wrong for talking like that when perez trashes the way people look constantly.

    30. 30

Is suspension really necessary? He commented on her bad taste in clothes.

    31. 31

in his defense that outfit does sound pretty horrendous

    32. 32

"WTF is he talking about?! " thats hilarious P, considering you dress worse that than old chick does

    33. @v@ says – reply to this

      33

Apparently he's always secretly wanted to take over for Mr. Blackwell. The sports thing is just a beard. How to come out, fashion maven Kornheiser!

    34. lojo says – reply to this

      34

Cranky Old Man. Don't think this is the first time that ESPN has a suspended Mr. Tony. He is funny and all, but not such a great co-worker. Ask his radio co-workers —– D-I-V-A!!

    35. 35

Sounds like he's been turned down for a roll in the hay with her, lol. He sounds jaded and jealous…and like an asshole.

    36. 36

I have met and spent time with Hannah and there is no way you could say she was 'stuffed' into something like a sausage. She is tall and willowy and I say if you can work it, wear it! Kornheiser is a tool.

    37. 37

Re: Tinalouise – It's called professionalism idiot. He's a tool and got busted for it. Do you know how many people have to already approve of what she's wearing? Quite a few. If they didn't then she'd have gotten busted. He got called out by his bosses. Simple management decision. Quit being such a sellout.

    38. 38

OK…let me understand this, you are putting Tony down for comments he said that are no way even close to the shit that you put out every friggen day on this site. You inane, smarmy and douch filled remarks are lower than anything he said and you get a pass……well not really the reply to your comments say it all toward you as being the dick you are, no wait you are not you just want one

    39. 39

Re: mikeybigballs – I agree w/ Mikey…this story has been over for a week and Mr. Tony is the man!

    40. 40

He's right. Ya'll make fun of ppl all the time too!

    41. 41

Team Tony.I will not watch PTI until he comes back

    42. 42

Shut the fuck up Perez! It's what you do for a living!! You criticise people's outfit all day long you fuckin hypocrite!! Kornheiser is a genius, shut the fuck up!!!

    43. 43

With the Holden Caufield thing… is he calling her a prostitute?

(Yes, Holden was the main character in "The Catcher in the Rye.")

    44. 44

Send us the info to get him fired, Perez!

    45. 45

Hannah Storm is hot! She makes most 25-30 year olds look bad! Wear whatever you want. If you got it flaunt it!

I would so eat that ass!

    46. 46

He did nothing wrong. His comments were dead on, and the truth, and he wasn't even mean about it. Does freedom of speach ring any bells anymore? No, only when it comes to certain races. You say much worse about people every day Perez, so go f@ck yourself for daring to call him wrong. Plus, the only reason he was suspended at all was because the network wanted to cover their own asses.

    47. 47

I don't know I saw her on ESPN on Sunday and pretty much thought the same thing myself…she was dressed inappropriately. Tight, short red dress and eff-me boots. She was the only female on an otherwise all male panel so it was clear she wanted attention. It she wants to be taken seriously, dress professionally, not like some cheap hooker for Pete's sake!

    48. 48

      1. He apologized. 2. Hannah took it in stride and good humor, because 3. She sent Tony the red boots to auction off for charity.

      Geez ESPN, over-react much?

    49. 49

He bought into the current atmosphere of mean. Sorry, Perez, but he's been readin' your column too much.

    50. @v@ says – reply to this

      50

Re: Unbelievable! – Freedom of speech doesn't mean you should say whatever catty, mean, judgemental and stupid thing that comes into your head, even if you deem your truth to be everybody's truth. People have eyes, and can come to their own conclusions regarding someone's dress habits on their own without some sports media jock prosyletizing publicly about someone else's outfit choices. She's an industry colleague, ffsakes. Do you think maybe she turned him down? P.S. Does anyone like that tie or that pinstriped shirt?

    51. 51

GIVE ME A BREAK!! Perez says nastier stuff on a daily - no Hourly - basis. You people obviously don't know Kornheiser. He says more disparaging stuff about himself on a regular basis. He's extremely good natured, and I'm sure there was an obvious wink as he spoke. The REAL story is in how ESPN overreacted on this one. Demanding that Tony apologize - which I'm sure he did with complete honesty - might have been warranted, but suspending him for a single day was a mistake, never mind two weeks.

    52. 52

If he had issues with Ms. Storm's wardrobe (he's right-tacky all the way but still) it is still not his place to comment on it over the air. If Ms. Storm's superiors at ESPN don't have a problem with her wardrobe then suck it up chuck-none of your business.
