Johnny Depp recently revealed that his two kids Lily-Rose and Jack love their dad's iconic title role in Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands. He says:
"It's funny because they've seen it but they have a difficult time watching it because it's their dad and they make that connection, but its Edward Scissorhands. That's by far my kids' favorite.
"They just connect with the character and also they see something, their dad feeling that isolation, feeling that loneliness. He's a tragic character and so I think it's hard for them. They bawl when they see that movie."

I just got YELLED at from my Mother in Law NOT to take my 10yr old daughter to see the ALICE IN WONDERLAND movie. She is mature for her age and does watch alot of movies with me. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? Is it scarey?? My mother in law is an ass… All her friends are seeing it. I thought she could go see it with her Auntie.

My friend worked with Johnny on "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and she says he is an amazing father and a genuinely sweet person. He is very loving.

Re: papatoony – um, kids have a hard time seeing bambi's mother die, the lion king's father die, the native mom die in ice age, etc., to name just a few, but they LOVE those movies. all of the good kids movies have something difficult that the main character must contend with - all of them - cinderella to stallion to wall-e to you name it. so, yeah, this makes sense.
