Michael Lohan Addresses Lindsay's Drug Comments
Of course he is!
Lindsay Lohan's proud papa Michael Lohan is commending his daughter for coming clean about her alcohol and cocaine abuse, BUT he denies that Lindsay hit rock bottom when he started to go public with the media and stands by his claims that her real issue at the moment is prescription drug addiction.
He says:
"While I'm very happy that Lindsay is beginning to come 'clean,' the truth of the matter is I went public when she hit rock bottom. SHE DID NOT GO ROCK BOTTOM WHEN I WENT PUBLIC…
"And while I find her admissions of her experiences with alcohol and cocaine to be noble, the REAL PROBLEM still exists with the prescription drug use that the so-called 'addiction specialist', therapist and doctors are prescribing… to Lindsay."
Michael still believes the messy divorce between him and Dina caused Lindsanity to spiral out of control and declares he won't shut his trap until Lindsay is back on track:
"Lindsay and my other children were torn apart because they lost the stability of a family…The problem for Lindsay and so many others is prescription drug use…
"I will not stop (speaking out) until I finally get my daughter off of all the prescription drugs which she never needed and doesn't need no matter how much I get bad mouthed or slandered by the people out there who aren't so perfect themselves… I will do ALL I can to make things right, even if it costs me, or is at my own expense!"
Which probably means we won't EVER hear the end of Michael Lohan!

Although I don't condone airing private family matters in public, I do have to say that as a parent I would go to any length to save my child, regardless of how old they are, even if that meant going public about their drug abuse.
Ok, here's a man who has made mistakes, granted…
But I'm with him on this one, HANDS-DOWN. His statement about his daughter hitting rock bottom are spot-on. "Blaming the family or friends" for hitting your personal "rock bottom" is a cop-out that most addicts use, before they are able to get past the denial and admit that they have a problem.
And PRESCRIPTION DRUG ABUSE is an important issue. If Lindsay has "transferred" her addiction from cocaine or another illegal narcotic to prescription drugs, (knowing her tendency to over-use and abuse) then she is in SERIOUS trouble. Particularly if she's still going to the same clubs and bars and parties where she had trouble with the illegal drug. NOW, I would imagine she's telling herself, "Cool! Now I can get high, and I won't have to worry about being arrested!"
(Don't think addicts don't do this all the time. They do.)
And I'm pretty damned impressed with Michael's resolve. He's been down the addiction road himself, and I'm betting he knows NOW just how important it is NOT to give up on your family. He even says as much, which shows he's willing to accept that he's been part of the problem.
I say, good luck to you, Michael. Don't let the paparazzi jackasses and trash-talk websites get you down.

A friend of mine who owns and operates several porn websites was in LA a couple of weeks ago for the "porn oscars". Afterwards they went to a club where Lindsay Lohan was partying also. She approached him and his friend and asked if they had any cocaine or new where to get any. When he said no, she immediately burst into tears and returned to her booth where she and her friend were continuously texting the rest of the night.
Guess it's hard to take when your daughter tells the truth.
