The Bible says that marriage is between a man and a woman… In Leviticus it says, "If man lies with mankind as he would lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death and their blood shall be upon them." The Bible is pretty black and white.
I feel like God himself created mankind and he loves everyone, and he has the best for everyone… If he says that having sex with someone of your same gender is going to bring death upon you, that's a pretty stern warning, and he knows more than we do about life.

Personally I think that what she said was taken out of context. She was simply saying that she disagrees with gay marriage because the Bible says that marriage is for a man and a woman. I'm a Christian and I know that there are a lot of judgmental Christians out there, but those Christians are in the wrong. I don't agree with gay marriage, but I still love people who are gay. I think that marriage and sex is for a man and a woman. It is not up to us to judge people, it's up to us to love everyone no matter what their sexual preference is. I don't think it is fair that people are calling this girl dumb just because she believes the Bible. I think it is important to understand her perspective and give her the time of day just like everyone else.
And just to comment on all the comments about having to believe in all the laws in Leviticus. She was wrong in using Leviticus to talk about her views on gay marriage. The Old Testament law doesn't exactly apply anymore. The New Testament is the new covenant with Christians. She should have used a New Testament verse. She should have used 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. But it is also important for everyone to step off their high horse and admit that everyone is a sinner and we all struggle with some kind of sin in our life.
