Billy Joel Cancels Tour With Elton John
Billy Joel and Elton John have been planning a US star this summer, but it has just been canceled due to Billy's year-long career hiatus. Their last show will be March 11th in Albany, which means they're are skipping their highly anticipated show at Wrigley Field.
"As far as I know, there will be no more Billy and Elton shows after the Albany show in New York on March 11th. It's not my decision, it's Billy's. He has decided to take a year off," said John.
Considering Joel's last few months (i.e. the divorce and then daughter hospitalized), we completely understand his decision!
"I'm so disappointed because when we came to Wrigley Field last year… it was like playing in the church of baseball. I was so delighted to be there, and we had such a wonderful two days. It (Joel's hiatus) doesn't gel with my plans but he's a friend. And as an artist, you have to respect his decision," Elton continued.

What did the douchebag expect when he's in his 50's and marries a 22 year old. The sad thing is that he actually believed she was interested in ANYTHING other than his money.
I am still waiting for HBO to make good on the Jan 14th concert from 10 years ago when they were supposed to broadcast their concert and didn't.

Right, the HBO show that was to be broadcast from VIENNA I believe . . . gee, wonder why it was canceled? BILLY WAS "SICK" IN REHAB!!!! Freaking two days before the broadcast, now Elton did the show solo, they STILL should have broadcast the show but NO! Elton's made comments that at their age, this would probably be the last outing. I really hope that's either a) not the case, b) one of the upcoming gigs gets preserved for later broadcast or c) we finally get a freakin BLU-RAY release of this show!!!!
Re: Novel1 – Yep, see my post; Billy screwed that up again! I was lucky to see them in Houston last March and ELTON is coming back to Texas in April!! Whoohooo! Corpus, Austin and Amarillo!! Perhaps more cities? hmmmmmm

I love perez and his writing and that's why I read this daily, but seriously it's getting sloppy lately. A US star? These posts are never even read over before posting it seems like.
I saw them play at Wrigley Field last year and it was amazing. I was so excited for it again…bummer. They were incredible and to take it all in at WF just added to the experience. Too bad… but it seems like a rough time for Joel.
