Evan Lysacek is displaying the class with which he has always comported himself in the world of figure skating. No I don't like the glued down hair and the omnipresent five o'clock shaddow, but as a skater, he is head and shoulders above the others. He skates a complete program from the first note of the music until the last. The program is paced, nuanced and carefully thought out to maximize the beauty and technical brilliance of Evan's skating. Plushenko shouldn't complain; he banked on the quad giving him an automatic gold and forgot that he needs to skate to the rules for the entire time, not just 2-3/4 minutes of jumps and spins and 2 minutes of screwing around, mugging for the cameras and generally strutting around the ice like some whacked peacock!

As to Evan Lysacek being straight - don't be that tedius gay person who insists any man you find attractive has to be gay because you're attracted. Lysacek IS straight and any number of fortunate and happy young women would be happy to attest to that - including Tanith Belbin.

Evan Lysacek is a gentleman in the sport of figure skating. He handled the whole interview with dignity and class. Good going Evan. You deserved the gold, despite what that pathetic, excuse for an olympian, plushy, says. Plushy in no way deseved the gold. His type of figure skating belongs on the chippendales dance floor or at hard bodies. I'm surprised no one at the rink thru a dollar bill at him instead of a stuffed animal. If alot of you think he deserved the gold, GET REAL. Yea! Right! One quad and humping air realy deserves the gold. Evan Lysacek was the rightful winner of gold. Get over it.

I watched all of men's figure skating on TV, expecially Evan and Plushenko's final skates. Plushenko landed the quad, but the rest of his routine was visibly sloppy, even to someone like me who doesn't know that much about skatingt, and just watches for fun. I was actually shocked at how poorly Plushenko skated during his final skate, because he'd done so well in the short program. It looked like he couldn't handle the pressure.

Evan's skate, on the other hand, was tight, crisp, and incredibly expressive. I would have picked him the winner with no doubts. Like he said, if it was all about "who does the most impressive jump," then they'd just go out there, do one jump, and call it a day. Obviously, that's not how it works.

In other news, I had a naughty dream about Evan the other night…ganted, his voice was a bit deeper then, but damn does that boy look good in all black!

Yep. Evan's cute-a HOTT Olympic Champ and a much better athete than that Russian crybaby Douchenko who front-loaded his long program like some aging 400 metre hurdler who places all his hurdles within the first 100 metres-then sprints the last 300 hundred hurdle-free while his competers run the hurdles throughout the same run from start to finish.
