Jack White Launching Wife's Music Career

The man of many bands Jack White will lend his musical expertise to help his wife, model Karen Elson, launch her music career.
He is producing her first album and directing the studio sessions near their home in Nashville. Apparently, Elson has been looking to relaunch herself as a singer. She has already performed with Robert Plant and recorded a song with Cat Power for a Serge Gainsbourg album.
And, of course, the album will be released through Jack's label, Third Man Records, this summer.

Re: frusciante – Very sorry to hear about Andrew Koenig. Stanley Park in Vancouver is a beautiful place. Not sure how anyone could determine that he suicided. Was it a drug overdose or something? Not that it matters. Gone too soon and my heart goes out to those who loved him.

I live in Nashville and have seen Jack many times around town. He's also been working with rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson.

I always hate when the "nepotism" bug bites some guy. At least he is only producing her "record" and not going the full John/Yoko Paul/Linda route! This way, we don't have to listen to her. As far as a I know, she's one of those models-turned-something who can carry a tune…hardly the cred lots & lots of real singers (i.e.allison mosshart) have. Karen Elson doesn't have the chops, paid her dues or in any way earned the attention of so monumental talent as Jack White. Her only qualification? She was in the right place at the right time. I'm a singer and I know what I'm talking about. Never in a million years would I consider myself on the level of being able to do more with Jack White than shake his hand. Maybe he got a little too "chummy" with Ms. Mosshart and this is what he has to do to calm his wife down. Who knows?
