The political party UKIP, or the UK Independence Party, are planning to launch a manfiesto led by a High Court judge to investigate whether or not globing warming is, in fact, man-made!!
Depending on the results, Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth, or what they're calling global warming propaganda, would be banned from schools and public authorities would not be allowed to spend money on trying to fix climate change!!
WTF?? Are they trying to destroy the planet??

Apparently, they believe that scientists have been messing with data and facts so it looks like humanity is at fault for the changing climate, and a recent poll found that one in five people, compared to one in three ONLY last year, believe that climate change is man-made.
We're still unclear at the problem. Even IF theoretically global warming is a crock of SHIZ, how are the preventative measures we've subsequently taken detrimental in any way?? We're still making the planet a healthier place, whether or not the glaciers do melt and drown us all!

Al Gore is an asshole, as were the Clintons and the current douche in office. I think that "global warming" needs to be reevaluated by the mass public. If you research it and look into the scientists who say that it is happening then you will find that most of them are government funded scientists who need money from the government to keep running. The government freaks the people out so they then will spend all this money and effort trying to stop something that could be natural for all we know. Most privately funded scientists tell you that global warming and then global cooling is something that has been going on since earth began. So I do kind of thing that Politicians, including Al Gore, are abusing the term "global warming" to create a kind of mass hysteria. People just need to take the initiative and research it, and not just one side either, research both sides and then come up with a decision. =)

Yes, I believe it's an eco-fascist agenda. The quote from the UKIP guy explains it best– people who don't buy into the global warming theory are ostracized in society. If we're unclear about whether it's man-made or not, both theories should be accepted until proven otherwise.
And, Perez, measures made to prevent Global Warming cost ridiculous amounts of money. Even recycling is expensive (to process). Since we're kinda strapped for cash, spending money on a whim (i.e., scientific research that is being debated) is detrimental. When firefighters and cops are being laid off, spending money on POTENTIALLY preventative measures seems kind of silly.
So, like what was said ealier, the earth goes through cycles. Earth was previously in the ice age (glacial cycle) and since man has been here, we've been in an interglacial period. What lies underneath Alaska's ice, for example, is actually more akin to a tropical area, the glaciers and ice are just the last evidence of the glacial period. in fact, the overall temperature of the earth has cooled over the past few decades, and many of the holes that were reported in the ozone have depleated significantly, some of them having "fixed" themselves.
Pretty simple - those who are used to making money on phony wars won't profit from Eco-changes - thus, they need to negate the FACTS.

I think that people who honestly believe that global warming is man-made should really think about that for a minute. At one point, before humans could have possibly polluted the atmosphere, much of the world was covered in ice. It melted. Somehow, it melted all by itself. So, obviously, the earth got warmer without any help from man. Even more recently, there was a "mini-ice age", long before the industrial revolution, but the Earth warmed back up, didn't it? All by itself. No help from man. I personally believe that manmade global warming is a myth used by scientists and environmentalists to further their own agenda. However, I don't believe in censorship, and if they want to try to keep spreading the myth, so be it. It's up to individuals to rationally think about what's being said and come up their own opinion.
It is very practical to continue with environmentally safe projects and do what we can to prevent anything that could harm, contaminate, or destroy the earth.
However, it is with complete ignorance and greed that Al Gore has taken this propaganda this far. First off, our atmosphere ONLY contains .03% carbon. NOT EVEN A FULL 1%. we are not harming our atmosphere as severely as these people are making it sound. Many other facts that all you have to do is look up and verify yourself instead of taking someone elses word on it and claiming it to be true. Think for yourself.
The inconvient truth is a total lie. It should be banded and he should be found on criminal charges for lying to the nation and stealing money to support his organization through tax revenue WE pay in, me and you.

What people don't know is that there is NO evidence that suggests that CO2 is causing the temp to rise, it could be infact the temp is rising due to other problems and the rise in temp is what is causing the CO2 to rise, we just don't have the evidence. Without knowing what the cause is we arn't able to find a solution.

Of course global warming is real. Is it getting worse because of man? NO. One of my professors is a physicist and used to work for the US government before he decided to take on teaching. He worked closely with other environmentalists and geologists. He's shown me proof, which actual logic and math and that MAKES SENSE that proves that global warming is not the result of man. That being said, I agree with Perez. There's nothing wrong with finding new ways to create energy, reduce air pollution, save people money on gas, and use less natural resources. Nothing wrong with living a cleaner life and in a cleaner society.
Why don't ya ask China…the biggest polluters of 'em all!!! They even "pollute" the products they make with toxic chemicals and export them….crap like plastic toys. Do you think they'll even listen? HA!! I think not!
I think part of the issue is that Al Gore has made millions of dollars with this inconvenient truth thing. That said, I believe in global warming, whether it's man made or a natural cycle I don't know.

But one thing we have to understand is that sometimes when people don't like the message of truth, in this case that GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL, it's easier for them to attack the messenger than to actually face the truth & take some responsibility. Our country is borrowing billions of dollars from China to buy oil from people who hate our guts & want us all dead. In 1986, when the theory of Global Warming was in its infancy, it was predicted that when the tipping point threshold was reached there would be a decade long period of climate shift; weather change. People who do not understand science (or punctuation) do not realize that the weather we have had for the last few years is EXACTLY what was predicted with global warming. The climate for the WORLD is shifting. Record highs, record lows, shifts in rain/snow patterns… it ALL fits exactly into the computer models. Putting your head in your beer and drugs is not going to make it go away. I for one cannot wait until the great uneducated masses who know nothing other than to consume and run around in their pathetic ideals of self importance die off. Those people are a waste of carbon and are taking up space. You know what is wrong with the world? It is over populated by about 80% and most of those people are worthless. Our minds are incapable of understanding and seeing the truth. Thankfully, you people will be the first to die off when it starts.

That's how mountains and valleys are formed and I'm pretty sure they were here long before any of us. Tsunami have to do with gravity from the moon. Otherwise, well said.
