Political Party Wants To BAN An Inconvenient Truth!!
People really seem to have it out for Al Gore!
The political party UKIP, or the UK Independence Party, are planning to launch a manfiesto led by a High Court judge to investigate whether or not globing warming is, in fact, man-made!!
Depending on the results, Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth, or what they're calling global warming propaganda, would be banned from schools and public authorities would not be allowed to spend money on trying to fix climate change!!
WTF?? Are they trying to destroy the planet??
Viscount Monckton, the UKIP climate change spokesman, says:
"At the moment all the major parties have decided to sign up to the eco-fascist agenda and therefore anyone who does not believe in eco-fascist agenda has no where else to go."
ECO-FASCIST agenda? Seriously??
Apparently, they believe that scientists have been messing with data and facts so it looks like humanity is at fault for the changing climate, and a recent poll found that one in five people, compared to one in three ONLY last year, believe that climate change is man-made.
We're still unclear at the problem. Even IF theoretically global warming is a crock of SHIZ, how are the preventative measures we've subsequently taken detrimental in any way?? We're still making the planet a healthier place, whether or not the glaciers do melt and drown us all!

I also want to say, that if this topic was posted 2 years ago, the responses would have been alot different. Those claiming global warming isn't man made would have been made fun of. Now, it seems to be the majority saying it.
Al Gore has been quiet since Climategate. I am not sure if he was part of the scam, or just another person fooled by mass hysteria.
The truth will always prevail.
Climate change is more accurate than global warming. Saw a great cartoon that had as part of it an angry white male saying…"What if it's a big hoax and we create a better world for nothing?" I have friends that are farmers (family biz for 400 years) and they've said their records show the weather has never been like this before (mid-atlantic) too much rain in spring and too cold too long, too much wind all year (excessive wind is worse for crops than heat or cold), warmer winters (except this one), summers not hot enough, and all over the world farmers are having to reinvent when and how they do what they do because something's not right with the world. I guess if people don't "believe" in global warming, they don't have to do anything to help stop it. That's convenient.
I don't know why folks keep trying to undermine or ridicule this man. His intentions are quite obviously on the up-and-up. He has not "agenda" with trying to save our planet and its eco-system. He can be rich or poor - but he himself is channeling his efforts in the right direction. There IS not wrong direction in this effort, only working with fools and geniuses and trying to get one's facts from both and weed through it all, then convince a drugged out and apathetic gleeful populace to get onboard with things. This man has single-handed done more for public awareness of saving our planet than any other public figure, and that counts for a lot. GO AL. Dissenters, please join in the effort in a helpful fashion such as not nit-picking or attacking but rather getting some facts together and getting the public to participate. ALIGN with him to help out.

First, how is "Global Warming all lies" or a scam when every major report from the Non-Profit National Academy of Sciences report on climate change states otherwise? Could you provide us with some scientific data or some of your personal intellectual knowledge of Climate Change science to prove them wrong?
Second, Why would there would be a global conspiracy theory promoting global warming prevention just to sell some green products (which is a tiny drop in the bucket compared to the trillions of dollars the oil companies make) that actually save us, the consumers, money in the long run on our energy costs??? It is soooo easy for oil lobbyists to line the pockets of scientists & politicians to come up with whatever bull-s*#@ data & theories they can to flood the airwaves of Fox News (the only network who will honor their every request to be on TV) to get their agenda across! Especially when there is WAY MORE money to be made (IE: Exxon) by those denying global warming than those who simply acknowledge it? No wonder so many of these “scientists” are so eager to jump on the gravy train of the oil industry!!! Can you explain that one for us?

The problem is that Al Gore made millions peddling this crap. People are mistaking global warming with climate change. Global warming ignores the earth's history, which is to warm and cool naturally over thousands of years. Certainly people have some impact, and at this point in time there are more people on earth than ever before. But people aren't the sole reason for climate changes. Al Gore went out and capitalized on the sheep mentality of the public and sold a bill of goods with no merit. So did Leo DeCaprio and many other celebs. Maybe next time people will question what they hear from people who barely have a high school diploma.

I am no scientist so I'm not good at arguing causes of global warming. What I do know is that it is REAL and the acts of greedy, piggy, careless, humans has to be at the very least a contribution.
In a free country "An Inconvenient Truth" should be made available for all to see and decide for themselves. Why is this even an issue?
Technically it is not man made, because weather changes have been traced and have happened over the course of the earths life. Millions of years ago the entire planet was cover in ice, which is how the natives made their way from Asia and Europe to the Americas. There was an ice bridge that linked the continents together. The natives made their way down to the warmest place they could get which was south america, bla bla bla…
The point is that the pollution that our societies have been creating over the past 50-100 years, has accelerated the global warming process, to a point where nature can not adapt fast enough and where species of animals and plants are dieing instead of changing.
Its a question of slowing down.

PH - You need to read up on the topic. A British court confirmed about a dozen clearly inaccurate facts portrayed as truths in the film — back in 2007. Under their law, therefore, it cannot be shown as an objective documentary, only as a political position open to equal time and a notice of the facts that were manipulated or unsubstantiated. That's the state of the film in England currently. The current UKIP thing is just a movement to exploit this fact and dig further in to the claims made.
Sure the Earth has it's natural cycles, we have frigid ice ages and warming between interglacial periods. But if you look at the facts and evidence shown by the majority of scientists all over the world you would see that since the industrial revolution and the dominance of fossil fuels over wood, water, and wind, this new reliance has created a great increase in temperature due to emissions powering the greenhouse effect. To all those who don't believe global warming just wait till 2050 when islands below sea level and coastal cities vanish beneath the rising sea. PPPPPPPPEACE.
No it's not made up. A lot of confusion surrounds the fact that natural climate change happens as can a mad-induced one. It is not all and nothing. An increase of greenhouse house gases into the atmosphere is the concern and average decadal temps have risen worldwide. I think the backlash here is b/c the UK got snow like they've never seen before this winter. That is most likely b/c there's more moisture in the atmosphere (warming leads to more evaporation) and El Nino's with us. This UKIP thing is attention seeking that's all. They don't know sh*t
Go UK! The "Hockey Stick" that was supposed to prove global warming was MADE UP! The guy even thought about committing suicide because he had lied to the world. We should do our parts to save energy, but the whole "GREEN" obsession has to stop. If you believe in global warming and you believe in the Ice Age, you'll find that one can't be man made and the other not. You can see the earth moves in cycles, but some people (including gore) will do anything to profit under a "Save the environment" pretense. It's so sad.

Anyway, the cold weather is caused by the arctic oscillation. There will always be year-to-year variations in weather patterns. None of that matters until there is a global normalization that persists for several years.

The won't report on the Science - Which is the have no Scientific data (unless made up) that supports the planet is warming over the past decade. Every scientist is fucking government funded in even the ones that say that climate change doesn't exist so don't pin point the ones that do say it is real! Also those record snow storms in New York are proof of climate change! Before you wouldn't have had such weather and my area is supposed to get snow and really cold temperature all the time but this winter it was mild and we hardly got any snow! everything is changing and maybe the earth does go through cycles but it supposed to be an extremely slow process and over the past decade or more we have escalated the process and maybe it happen extremely faster than it naturally should!! uggghh i hate people so much…

Hopefully most of these chidren will resist the temptation to "follow the leader" and will learn to ask questions for themselves. I can't believe how stupid and ignorant almost everyone that's writing here is! Of course Planet Earth has gone through cycles of ice ages and warmer climates, there are tons of scientifical evidence on this. The truth of the matter is that human life is accelerating the process by which the Earth regulates and changes its climate. It is only rational to believe and acknowledge that the fast paced growth of human life and the way we use Earth's resources is affecting its cycle. Do you really think we can cut trees without restriction and still be able to live humanely in the future. Environmentalists state that mankind is speeding up the process of Global Warming, not saying it's the only reason it's happening. I live in Puerto Rico, a 35 x 100 miles island in the Caribbean, we have a wide variety of ecosystems like rain forests, deserts, caves, bioluminiscent bays, mangroves, rivers, cañons, etc. I can see with my own eyes how humans are changing and damaging these wonderfull ecosystems, how the shore line is almost unexistant due to the melting of the ice in the north and south poles. How some fishes and whales barely come across our waters now because of the change in temperture over the past few years. It's right in front of our eyes, unless you want an ice age or weather so warm we cannot live through it for the next generation of people, we have to do something now to stop speeding up the process.
IT IS PROPAGANDA - all i know is that when i have children one day, I don't want them going to a school where they feed them false information
