An avid supporter of the LGBTQ community, Daniel Radcliffe sat down with the folks at The Trevor Project while in NYC to talk about his involvement with the organization.
In case you didn't already know, The Trevor Project is a non-profit organization that was created to provide "crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning LGBTQ youth."

Suicide prevention is obviously needed, I can`t believe all the people killing themselves, it seems like every few days there is another. Then there is the other kind of slow suicide-slow self destruction which we see in a lot of Hollywood people, Michael Jackson, Brittany Murphy, Heath Ledger on and on. It may look like accidental OD`s but subconciously they are people who become very reckless on purpose because they don`t care if they live or die.

What a great project for everyone- no matter your sexual orientation. I wish they had something like this for general (not gay) bullying in school- it is rampant in the school where my daughter attends Kindergarten, 2 incidents involving her this week! Also the 2nd grade and 5th. I also have to deal with this in the local preschool, and I live in a middle of nowhere, podunk town!

He hates intolerant people. A strange paradox. But, either way, he is smart, normal, doing good things and not worrying that ignorant people are going to think he's gay for supporting gays. Oh! And he can put sentences together, which is strange for a young actor (ie Bob Pattinson, lol). I hope he has a healthy career ahead of him after Harry Potter. And I think he probably will because he's managed to not turn into a nutter due to his great amount of fame, and has focused on a few other projects outside of the franchise like Equus and December Boys.
Since he is not one with the problem he should give his attention to more worthwhile activities, like environment problems that concern us all or the overpopulation of the world which is going to be the reason for pretty much everything. From poverty, economicy breakdown, diseases, bad food (ful of pesticide because of the intense exploitation), competition… Really DAn, get your freakin priorities straight

He's obviously straight or he would not be doing this. But I have noticed something else: he has developed odd creases and wrinkles in the face. Not ugly but unusual in a 20 year old.
This seems like a great thing. People can have their opinion of gays, they're going to anyway. But when depression is the end result of those opinions, at least someone in the world needs to step up and offer some help.
He is so well spoken and amazing. What a great outlook on life.

Latest news is that while in New York he got food poisoning with extreme diarrhea that put him in the hospital for two days. That can be dangerous and can seriously damage the kidneys. He must have some idea what or where he ate the rotten food. Be careful, Dan, for your fans' sake.
