The Hydrocodone Belonged To Murphy's Ill Mother, Not Brittany!

Simon Monjack is saying the reports claiming Brittany Murphy was prescribed 120 pills of hydrocodone days before her death are untrue!

Monjack says the hydrocodone was prescribed to Brittany's mother, Sharon, NOT Brittany!

Sharon, a cancer survivor, was diagnosed with neuropathy - caused by her chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Said Monjack: "Sharon still has to have reconstructive surgery and is a very sick woman. This is so defamatory and ridiculous. It benefits no one when these lies are propagated."

And as far as the "missing" pills go?

"We have never been asked about these pills by the coroner," Monjack firmly stated.

I really think this story has run its course and people, including her husband, need to quit commenting. I do think it's unnecessary for the coroner's office to be airing her "supposed" dirty laundry in the press, as they've done since day one. Let her rest in peace, no matter how she got there, she paid the price. It's not right for any person to judge what she did, because it ultimately caused her death. If they believed her husband or mother were involved, I think the police would be speaking out, not the coroner. I've seen too many times where these coroners are looking for their 5 minutes of fame.

Of course he is saying they are her mother's! Why would they have her mom's prescription anyway? Not to mention only what 11 pills? Doesn't make sense unless her mom hooked her up with some. It would have been more believable if he would have said they were his because at the time of death did he not say any pills there were all his! O ' but now they are her mom's …….SURE SIMON. I do not understand why the press would not leave Brittany Murphy's widow and mother alone.These two are suffering the loss of a beautiful woman who was sweet, caring, and very talented. The press needs to let Brittany rest in peace instead of posting false rumours about drug abuse when we all know she died from pneumonia combined with severe anemia.
