Simon Monjack has been invited to Sunday's Academy Awards presumably because wife Brittany Murphy will be featured in the montage of entertainment industry members that have passed away.
"The Oscars have invited me and I will attend," Simon confirmed. "I do not know what they are planning. Since I was invited, I'm assuming something will be done involving Brittany."
We wonder if her mother was invited, too?

I would go too if something was set up to honor my spouse. Leave him alone on that one! However, I do find it a tad bit ironic since he said that Britany was let down by Hollywood and basically bad mouthed the industry.
Not like he killed her or anything. People just don't like him. He doesn't strike me as a person who would be liked under ANY circumstances, like if he was your bank teller, or boss, or sandwich artisan. Unlikeable people can be loved, too. A lot. Just ask Perez!!
