We have been sitting with this for a while now! And it's time to share!
The XX's debut album is so good - and meant to be listened to as a whole - that it was really tough for us to single out just one track to feature. But, the one song of this band from London that we keep going back to again and again is Crystalized.
Haunting, sexy, mysterious and captivating!
It's hard to describe their sound. But we'll try!
Minimal. Essential. Awesome!
The interchange of the male and female vocals on Crystalized is like musical intercourse!

Seriously, this is like ONE YEAR OLD and has been overplayed everywhere on the internet since before its release. And yes, it's one of the most overrated bands ever. You are so behind on this.. this album has been out for ages. Even American TV Shows have already used the xx' songs for some time now (Grey's Anatomy on Feb 12 Islands and One Tree Hill even used TWO songs, Islands and Crystalized, on their Jan 26 episode)
PEOPLE if you really dislike Perez then stop coming to this site. You are helping him make money simply by visiting the site and posting. Viewer traffic is what determines the rates for ads, etc. on his site. If people who dislike him so much would stop visiting then his popularity would decrease and he would not be making the same amount of money that he is currently raking in. Posting negative comments that he probably never reads is one thing. Hitting him where it really hurts… popularity and his wallet…. is another. REVOLT.
this band was on soooooooo many top of 2009 lists. so, you better not "I called it" on this one. your taste in music is, uh, questionable - these guys are pretty cool (and really young).
