WTF is going on with this "kid-friendly" restaurant?
Was it cursed by some evil witch doctor who didn't have enough tickets to get the Nerf gun??
A mother of a TWO YEAR OLD girl LEFT her child at a Chicago Chuck E. Cheese Saturday night after assuming that the child's aunt would be taking her home.
Apparently both the mom and the aunt thought the kid was going to spend the night with the other.
Are you SERIOUS? We understand there are mix-ups sometimes, but a TWO YEAR OLD??
Really?? A two year old??
To further ensure that this woman gets mother of the year, she didn't even realize her child was missing until the aunt saw the kid's picture on the internet the NEXT MORNING and called her sister to inform her that they had left the toddler overnight at the restaurant.
So completely, completely effed up.
The girl is currently in the custody of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, which we think is the exact spot she needs to be for now until they figure this mess out.
Chuck E. Cheese is of course refusing to speak about the incident.
Cut your losses now, guys, you can't handle ANY MORE bad press.

omg, my stomach dropped when I read this! my daughter is almost 2 and I couldn't imagine even walking out of a restaurant without her let alone, let her spend the night with someone else. A 2 yr old needs their mother! I can't believe the sister left the baby there when she knew that the baby's mom was gone!

This is disgusting!! I hope social services doesn't give this child back to this family. This child wasn't oviously being supervised by either the Parent nor the Aunt and therefor puts further negelct to happen. Then again putting a child in foster care at the age of two and making her go from home to home and live in orphanages all her life will also be detrimental to this young child. This is just a sad case no matter how you look at the outcome. Chucke Cheese should be shut down already this is just ridiculous all these violent occurrences!

Wow. People get really upset when you slam on Chuck E. Cheese. I don't think it's the restaurant's fault that a large number of the parents that frequent that place get in there and lose their damn minds. They leave their kids unattended and apparently just forget about them altogether. Sometimes they even seize the opportunity to start a brawl or two. Might I suggest that Chuck E. Cheese become the new "crazy adult" hangout rather than the kid friendly restaurant it was meant to be. Sad sad. As for the Dbag that suggests that Chuck E. Cheese is better in the burbs, I would also suggest that quite a few things are better in the burbs, like teen abortion and alcoholism sprinkled with a healthy dose of "just as long as we don't talk about it, then it's not a problem." Touche'.
buuuut, this could have happened anywhere- disneyland, dave & busters, whatever. Plenty of shitty parents out there, can't seriously blame a restaurant.

We live in an affluent neighborhood and we have one about a mile from here. I've never once heard of anything like this happening at that Chuck E. Cheese. It's not the restaurants fault that people act like fools in their establishment. Why shut them down? I say shut the parents down!!!

I've never had a bad experience at chuck E. cheese's. I take my daughter there all the time and she loves it. Just because dumb people happen to good places doesn't mean they should all be shut down.
