Sources are confirming that K-Stew and Dakota Fanning have actually been in the recording studio and have completed re-recording four iconic Runaways tracks for the upcoming biopic soundtrack.
The soundtrack will include original music from Joan Jett, but apparently, someone thought it would be BRILLIANT to let two inexperienced singers have at it on some of the best songs in rock history.
No offense Dakota, but this is Cherry Bomb we are talking about here. You want us to believe that you were able to pull it off? And they didn't have auto-tune in the 70s, so there is no saving your ass there.
Horrendous! We can already envision our ears bleeding in disgrace over this thing.

If you watch and listen to the trailer closely you can hear Kristen Stewart singing Cherry Bomb "Hello Daddy, hello Mom I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb" and it sounds good to me now I am not a Kristen Stewart fan I actually can't stand her but it sounds fine to me not like Joan Jett but okay. Now as for Dakota im sure she will sing fine.

I was there when they filmed the cherry bomb scene and from what I remember, they used Dakota's recording of the song. Not bad, in my opinion.

From the bit of "Cherry Bomb" I've heard in the preview, Dakota sounds alot like Cherie. I know she practiced with Cherie to get it right. I've been a huge Runaways and Joan fan for years. I cannot wait to see this movie!
