Republican Senator Claims Snooki Knows More Than Obama About Heathcare

Filed under: Politik > Barack Obama > Snooki

The man has a broken brain!

Republican Representative for the 10th District of Georgia Paul Broun may be doctor, but he is just another partisan dipshit!

President Obama recently announced that he would only incorporate four minor Republican ideas into the recent health care bill and understandably, the GOP was pissed.

It was up to Senator Broun to officially make us ashamed of our government!

The idiot said:

"I don't know if we should be insulted or humored at the President's feeble attempts to incorporate Republican ideas into his latest health care proposal. Snooki, from the Jersey Shore, has more substance than President Obama's offer.

Instead of listening to the American people, the President has once again demonstrated his arrogance and ignorance about what the nation expects from its leaders. This is "The Situation," Mr. President: the American people do not want unconstitutional mandates and job-killing tax increases. They are concerned with the costs of premiums, the quality of their health care and ensuring their children and grandchildren are not left with the bill. If you want to govern with the consent of the governed, you need to scrap this government take-over plan and embrace more of our commonsense solutions that protect the vital patient/doctor relationship and decrease the costs of premiums without adding to the national debt."

Maybe Mr Obama made this decision due to the lack of cooperation and rational insight he was getting from the GOP. Everyone wants to get on their soapbox and shout, but no one wants to have a civil conversation.

You wanna talk to Snooki about the healthcare debate?! Good luck! But here is "the Situation" Senator: You are making a fool of yourself and not helping anyone with your cutesy bullshit.

If you stopped name calling, maybe you'd get something done! We're waiting…

      I live in GA…sooo embarrassing!

    2. 2

      Unfortunately Broun is right!

Obama and Pelosi want to let old people die and raise taxes

    3. 3

You really shouldn't talk politcs. Seriously.

      4

Perez, you are an idiot. You know nothing about this. All this is is a knee jerk reaction to back Obama, regardless of what stupid shit he does.

Get a clue and realize you fools voted in the Prince of fools…

    5. 5

You should stick to gossip, you don't seem to understand politics

    6. 6

i would appreciate health coverage and i know other people would too, because there is alot of people that dont have any! i pay 300 per month for health insurance, plus i have to pay 1000 per year for my detuctible in order for me to get all the benefits, which honestly, right now i can't afford $1000!

    7. 7

      Typical republican crazy talk…

Re: lopezfanyeah – Ha, ha, ha..ROFLMAO..Lopezfan, where do you get you , um, ahh, facts from..LOL..Seriously, where do you get your Harry Potter inspired fantasy facts from?? Please let me know where exactly you found that piece of information fom. death panels or quality of life sessions have been in existence since way before Obama became President.. It's called deciding how you want to be treated as you get older and feeble.. We do that for our elderly parents, grandparents.. And Raise taxes, you are correct, but for those that make millions per year in income.. He wants to roll back the tax cuts for the wealthy.. So if you are wealthy, sucks for you bud.. Again, please post where you got your "facts" from..

Why does it ALL have to be overhauled right this minute? Prioritize together, use input from your constituents, approach the changes according to priority.

I don't think we should just blindly follow our chosen political party. There are valid points and issues on both sides.

if snooki knows so much about healthcare then answer me this: why is she so fucking fat? someone isnt taking care of her health this child is obese.

    11. 11

Obviously he is trying to get a younger demographic to pay attention to the issue. Obama consistently says that his bills are "bi-partisan" but that couldn't be farther from the truth. He asks the GOP to colllaborate, and then puts none of their input into the bills, so the GOP filibusters/votes it down, and Obama tried to cry that the GOP is being to partisan.
MORON. HE IS THE PARITSAN PROBLEM. Clearly, the GA senator is using shock language that is stupid to get the issue out there, which working. (Thanks to you Perez.) Open your eyes people, there has rarely been a more partisan leader.
Case and point-State of the union address- he is belittling and chiding the Republican party, and then begs that everyone be bipartisan to pass what he wants to get done. Two faced idiot. There is a reason your approval ratings are dropping like a rock.

WOW……THERE IS NO WAY HUMANLY POSSIBLE MARIO WROTE THAT….
THANK YOU BABS, YOUR INSIGHT INTO THE POLITICAL MIND IS SO THOUGHT PROVOKING!
NOT SO MUCH…I GUESS SIMPLE MATH IS A HARD CONCEPT
1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS OVER THE NEXT 4 YEARS……
      31 MILLION PEOPLE NEWLY INSURED.
AND IF IT PASSES 42% OF DOCTORS ALREADY STATED THEY'D RETIRE EARLY BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT GET PAID A "PROPER" BILLABLE RATE FOR CARE……
      GO OBAMA…..SCREW US EVEN HARDER!

    13. 13

Re: Rican31 – I am curious as to where you get your facts from. No disrespect but I have heard other information than what you have said. I just want to gain more information from different sources before I completely give my opinion on this. It would be most helpful for me. :) I'm trying to keep myself educated, but not just from one source which can be biased. Thank you.

    14. 14

Re: Rican31 – EXPLAIN TO ME WHY SOMEONE WHO MAKES MORE SHOULD BE TAXED MORE???
HOW IS THAT LOGICAL…..IF YOU HAD 10 MILLION DOLLARS WOULD YOU WANT THE GOV'T TO TAKE 38% OF IT???
NOT TO MENTION THE INHERITANCE TAX….AND THE DEATH TAX…AND CAPITAL GAINS TAX. OUR GOVERNMENT DOES ENOUGH ALREADY TO GET ITS GREEDY FINGERS ON MONEY….

    15. 15

"If you stopped name calling, maybe you'd get something done!"

      Right back atcha Perez!

    16. 16

Re: A&Cmomma – Very well put. Will not get anywhere if both parties believe that their party is 100% correct. Not one way of thinking has all of the answers.

    17. 17

Dear Perez please consider the fact that the Democrats couldn't agree on these bills to begin with. They have had a year to do something and they didn't need a single Republican vote. The bill is BAD BAD BAD and informed Americans know it. It stinks so much that the Dems had to bribe and offer backroom deals to buy Democratic votes. They didn't need a single Republican to pass OBAMAcare and they still couldn't sell it to their own party! We need REAL healthcare reform that includes wellness programs that encourage Americans to take responsibility for their health and lifestyle choices. Tort reform, elimination of pre-existing conditions and allowing competition between the states are examples of real changes. OBAMAcare is a JOKE it WILL NOT control costs, IS NOT fiscally responsible and will ruin the quality health care we now enjoy. We can't afford this bill. We need to to create an environment that encourages business growth and job creation–given our Presidents agenda why would anyone with money invest in AMerica oh unless you are in the GREEN economy sector and are getting subsidized.
Global warming, yea right that turned out to be a BIG lie as well.

    18. 18

well, mario, the senator is right. polls show that like 75 % of americans DO NOT WANT THIS. 13% of americans do not have healthcare. 2000 pages, 7 years later, it will probably be 40 million with all the taxes that have to be levied. AND HE WANTS TO MODEL IT AFTER MEDICARE/MEDICAID. one of the worst systems out there. 2000 pages for ambulance chasing lawyers to tie up in courts for years because congress will not consider tort reform in all that. and do not jump all over me calling me a conservative/republican. I am a democrat and I am embarrassed to admit it.

    19. 19

How can we take a man who watches that Jersey tripe seriously? He's blatantly fabricating half of what he says, how can the rest be true?

    20. 20

Sounds like he's making sense to me!!! You can't all of a sudden makeover the entire health care system and think for one second it's a good idea. This is a political campaigning ploy. If they really wanted to make GOOD changes to something as big as the health care system, they'd take their time to see exactly what needs to be changed and make sure nothing but healthcare is included in the health care bill.

    21. 21

Perez… you're a moron. The Dems and Obama are trying to make it seem like the GOP is stalling all of this and not working together. WRONG. The Dems had closed door meetings about health care, they didn't ALLOW Repubs to be part of the conversations, and they didn't want their input. True - the Dems wanted to pass health care on their own, with no help or Republican input! Now they can't "ram health care through" (Pelosi's own words) and are trying to turn the table on the Republicans. Shame shame shame. Same old tricks the Dems are always up to.

So assuming you, Perez, voted for Obama… do you actually know anything about the health care plan? How about how we are ALL going to have to pay for it, regardless if we use it or not? Should I sent you my bill for crap government health care I will NOT use. Health care isn't the problem - insurance companies are the problem. If there were no insurance companies then medical care would be MUCH cheaper and people would be able to pay for it themselves.

Oh, and how about how in the State of the Union address Obama said he was tired of special interest groups and bowing to them. What did he then do? The next day he had a meeting with the biggest lobbyists to find out what they wanted. Good lord, at least keep your eyes open. He's not the Savior.

      Get off your high horse.

    22. 22

Broun is absolutely right! Definitely not making a fool of himself, just speaking the truth!

    23. 23

President Obama and his progressive friends had a year to pass a bill–they didn't need one single Republican vote and for the whole year they shut the Republicans out of the process. They had to bribe and buy votes from Democrats because the bill STUNK soooo bad. It is fiscally irresponsible, and will ruin the quality of health care we now have in this country. Yes, we need reform but OBAMAcare is a horrible plan. Our spiralling out of control spending and debt is a travesty and we need to focus on stimulating our economy and reducing government waste. Jamming this down Americans throats is arrogant. Geez why would anyone invest in America–Mr. Obama is creating an anti business climate–if I was rich I'd take my money and go on a long vacation and invest elsewhere. Yup and folks with money are doing just that! Unless you are in the GREEN industries–then you will be getting government subsidies and make lots of money. Oh yea Global Warming another lie that has been revealed.

    24. 24

Perez you call people names for a living so STFU! Furthermore the guy was being dramatic to prove a point. You are the dumbest person on the planet besides the president!

    25. 25

Re: justtfax – Source(s) you gained this from? :) Again no disrespect just merely a young college kid wanting to keep up. Always looking for information from different sources. It would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    26. 26

Name calling and childish behavior is not helping anyone in this country. I also think that it will be detrimental to us as citizens if we continuously feed into party politics. I don't consider myself a Democrat or a Republican, and I will never overreact or get angry over what goes on in Washington. Life is too short. Educate yourselves. Don't get all your info from analysts on Fox News, MSNBC, etc. Do your own research.

    27. 27

Yo Perez! Do some fact-checking! Paul Broun is the U.S. Representative for the 10th District of GA, not a U.S. Senator. For future reference, Georgia's U.S. Senators are Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson. Can you name your Senators? Hint: Neither are male.

    28. 28

Re: sarlah – Dear Sarlah–you are right on many points except that Insurance Companies are not the problem–property insurance is not out of control, auto insurance is not out of control. The Health Insurance Industry profit is only 2.2% which ranks 88th for Industries in America. Medicare/Medicaid abuses and inefficiencies are a huge part of the cost because we have an aging population that is only getting bigger. The costs from these programs are being pushed onto the private insurers–docs gotta make their money! Businesses that have put into place Wellness Plans are NOT seeing huge premium increases every year because their employees are being encouraged, educated and rewarding for improving their healthy lifestyles. We all need to be responsible for our own choices you want to make unhealthy choices and not manage your health well then you SHOULD pay more for healthcare.

    29. 29

Whatever Obama says he's not, he is.
Whatever he says he's not doing, he is.
Whatever he says he's not going to do, he will.
      -
The man has NO credibility what-so-ever. He can say pretty much anything right now and even the Dem's don't believe him. Ask Sen Rockefeller.

    30. 30

Wouldn't it be funny if Snooki came out in favor of universal healthcare? :D

    31. 31

Re: Cjallen – Most states have senators too, dipshit.

    32. 32

Re: kygirl05 – And you're from Kentucky… I think that is all we needed to know!

    33. 33

Obama and his clown posse need to go

    34. 34

Way to spellcheck. I bet Snookie can at least spell health care what the hell is heathcare?

    35. 35

finally she's not making the stupid sucky face.

    36. 36

CANADA, AUSTRALIA, BRITAIN=Single-payer universal health care (16)
MEXICO, SOUTH AMERICA, RUSSIA=Public universal health care through other means (51)
UNITED STATES, AFRICA, INDIA, MIDDLE EAST=No universal health care or no data

Yeah Africa. Now there's a health care model you want to emulate.

      NOT.

Unless perhaps you're aiming at population control.

    37. 37

Perez- you might want to get a little history lesson before you try to convey the truth. There is a difference between a Senator and a Representative. REPRESENTATIVE BRUON said this……..not a Senator. Get your facts straight before you trash talk. It makes you look stupid.

    38. 38

This sounds like the doctor who graduated in the bottom half of his class (remember 50% do).

    39. 39

Why does she always look like she just stood up from a spinning chair? Wow, what a whorish mess. And she thinks she's so "all that"! LMAO! Yeah, we want people like YOU representing the United States in the media! NOT!

Re: lopezfanyeah – You will be the first to go.

    41. 41

hey moron, she is more articulate than you are and yet you are calling her an idiot??? anybody else see the irony in that? fat body it's time you put yourself down.

    42. 42

Re: Boo1991 – You can read the whole health care proposal online. He was right, it has been in existence for many years. Of course, when someone is at the end of their life families need to hear it and plan. If you have the other way, guess what? It'll be a total surprise when granny kicks the bucket because the doc didn't tell you. Don't be fooled by the Republican propaganda, they will say anything, do anything and pull anything to make sure this black man won't be in office again.

    43. 43

Re: Susie-Q – Just the fact that you had to bring up he's black shows me how insecure you really are……eff you. That's an excuse….I'm on neither side…but, I'm SO tired of that excuse…cause he's black. STFU!!

    44. 44

Re: Susie-Q – You sound like an idiot.

    45. 45

Oye come mierda, I love you, but stick to gossip. Siendo Cubano, youre a disgrace. Im sure your mother lived in a Cuba that was all about Change in the 40s.. ask your mom why shes here now. NO comas mierda, and read more about this reform and all that King Obama is doing to help ruin America.

    46. 46

stfu perez have you been to medical school? no? stfu already.

    47. 47

perez you should pay attention.. youre gonna need healthcare for aids..

    48. 48

Uhm, he's right. You are just an uneducated dumbass.

    49. 49

don't try to be political. you don't know what you're talking about…

clearly he's exaggerating. he's basically saying he isn't happy with what obama is doing.

    50. 50

perez you are an idiot!!!! the dems are just as guilty for their lack of cooperation and rational insight!! did you watch any of the healthcare summit?? the GOP has good common sense ideas for healthcare that wont raise taxes and increase the national debt and we as americans have tried to show washingtion thru elections (Massachusetts anyone?) and polls that we arent happy with whats going on. stick to gossip perez.

    51. 51

Stupid analogy, Mr. Broun. And I disagree with you, sir. What's killing this American is the $2,000 increase in my Blue Cross health insurance rates this year, you idiot!

    52. 52

"If you'd stop the name calling, maybe you'd get something done….."

      POT MEET KETTLE.

    53. 53

      you're a douchebag, perez

    54. 54

Re: lorae1214 – I beg to differ. It wasn't so much Scott Brown as it was the horrible horrible lame candidate the Dems had for a Ted Kennedy replacement. Scott Brown's a moderate -independent, really. That's what made him more popular here. Independent's the only way to go!

      -

If you don't think we need an answer to health insurance companies gouging us, THINK AGAIN. Blue Cross had the audacity to "proudly unveil to" our company "the new, HIGH-deductible HMO" - no plain ol' HMO anymore. MY rates (in Massachusetts) went up by $2000!!!!!!!! I'm totally HOSED! -"Proudly unveil" my ass!

    55. 55

      Re: Debate4America

I agree with you, and I should have specified Health Insurance Companies are the problem, since that apparently wasn't clear even though we are talking health care here?

I will even revise my statement:

The first problem is the fact that our legal system allowed doctors & medical facilities to be sued frivolously by people trying to get rich quick. The second problem is the fact that health insurance companies exploit the reality that not having health insurance is a very scary prospect & therefore people will pay an arm & a leg. And really, the fact that health insurance companies get away with doing that is the fault of our government - which is in turn The People's fault, for not making the government listen to us. So I guess it's really our fault. Huh.

    56. 56

Re: sarlah – Amen!!!! and Amen!! again!!

    57. 57

No one really knows what our presidents true agenda is. It does seem however like he couldn't care less what the American people want. I do believe that most Americans believed we need a change when Obama was voted in but I don't think they expected the change we have yet to see!! Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican-it doesn't really matter-be very aware of what's happening to our great nation.

    58. 58

Holy shit, Porky. You really hire some fucking dumb writers. Stay out of politics, you and your sister, or whoever, are too fucking stupid to understand anything more complex than an enema. The people don't want this asshole's failed healthcare bill, get over it. The people also want to maintain that marriage is between a man and a women…what part of this don't you get.

    59. 59

WHT? Dude is right..ha, ha, get it. US Americans have said No, no, no, no to this BS health care. GOP listening to the people. Your party is NOT. And name calling? Pa pa pa PLLEEZE. What color is the sky in your world. The more power you give the government, the less liberty and freedom you have. Why is this such a hard FACT for some? Damn those facts, they are so stubborn!

    64. 64

He was making a point, Obama is a joke of a President that has changed history for being the 1st black president and will make history by being the last!!

    65. 65

Perez, you know nothing about politics. Please stop talking about it.

You have no base to condemn this man; he has a right to his opinion, and it's an opinion many of your readers share. You also have no basis of information about Obama's intentions. So learn how to be a journalist and then maybe we'll listen to your take on politics.

If this man makes you ashamed of your government, I can't imagine what you'd do if you learned about some of the underhanded, back-ally shit that goes down in DC.

    66. 66

I think that senator has been posting on this website.

    67. 67

Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson are Georgia's senators. Broun is a Member of the House. Please get your facts straight. thanks

    68. 68

Every single elected official in Washington has forgotten that they were elected to represent the people in their respective districts, not because they were Democrats or Republicans. The majority of the American public does not want the reform that Obama or the Democrats are going to jam through on reconciliation, and I for one, do not feel that we, as American voters, should stand for elected officials who refuse to represent the people's will.

    69. 69

The recent healthcare summit left me unhappy with both the Republicans and the Democrats.

First, how can the President reform health insurance when he doesn't even know what health insurance is?

He claimed that high-deductible plans aren't REAL insurance. This is like claiming that I don't have real car insurance if my policy doesn't cover oil changes.

With this one comment the President completely disqualified himself from having any further involvement in our healthcare.

      * Insurance is supposed to cover major events that people can't afford to pay out of normal income and savings
      * This means that REAL health insurance is of the high deductible, major medical variety, whereas . . .
      * The plans the President mistakenly thinks of as health insurance are really expensive pre-payment schemes

These pre-payment schemes aren't REAL health insurance. They only exist because of stupid federal tax policies, and corporate welfare regulations at the state level.

    70. 70

Perez, he never said Snooki knew more about healthcare than president obama. He said Snooki had more susbstance (meaning genuine depth) than his health care proposal did…ie, once again president obama has been "fake" and made a farce out of attempting to be bipartisan and work with GOP members to form a truly bipartisan bill. understandably, its a bit cheesy sen. broun used current social media characters to relate to the public, but understanding the actual statement could help you in realizing the intentions of the statements.

    71. 71

this bill is all about control, our gov't wants Americans broke, subservient and reliant on them 100%.and this left v.s. right politics is a ruse to keep us from seeing the real enemy..the banking cartels that truly run this country.when congress doesn't read bills anymore(bailout) and unelected czars are calling the shots it should be more than obvious what i'm saying is true.

    72. 72

      Re: Cjallen

Thank you!! Paul Broun is a CONGRESSMAN, not a Senator. And Perez is saying that Broun doesn't understand how politics work? Pot, kettle line 2.

    73. 73

      Re: YUCK
OMG, you think Snooki is OBESE?!?!
WTF has this world & how women's bodies are perceived come to?!?!
      So freaking SAD!!!

    74. 74

Oh some of you make me laugh. Feed right into the propaganda machine and don't realize who the puppet masters are. Insurance companies, billion dollar companies, have a lot to lose with universal health care and will do everything they can to sway you and the republican party to believe its such a bad thing. Someone said they only make 2.2% profit a year - first of all it's BS and 2nd, 2.2% of billions is a lot.

In Canada, you pay a crap load of tax on cigarettes and while normal food is tax free, confectionary or junk food items are taxed. There's a novel idea to help balance out people's unhealthy lifestyle choices and their higher drain on healthcare. I only pay $54 a month for health care and get everything covered. And our pharmaceuticals are WAY cheaper than the US.

Some of you are so scared of change that you can't see how bad your current situation really is.

    75. 75

Your President sucks!!! and he DOES NOT listen to what the majority of Americans want, EVERYTHING the Govt takes over is broke and a shit storm, medicaid, medicare, social security, who in their right mind would think this will be any different! GET YOUR FUCKING HANDS OFF MY HEALTHCARE!

    76. 76

Re: Cjallen – quoted for truth.

    77. 77

      i think he is right

    78. 78

So now you are not only an authority on music but also on politics. Blame the GOP?? Really??? There is so much blame floating around the toilet bowl we call Washington DC. The only bipartisan thing going on in that town is finger pointing. Fix the broken parts of the healthcare system. It isn't too late to start over and produce a bill we can stomach, let alone afford. Baby steps are better than falling off the cliff.

    79. 79

      Re: chailatte

If you're Canadian… why are you weighing in on an American policy? It doesn't affect you at all. And it's none of your business.

Second, why would insurance companies NOT want universal health care??? It would FORCE millions of people to buy their product. Now, their only customers are voluntary– when our government takes over health care, people will be forced to buy insurance or face penalties.

You might pay $54/mo. for insurance and get everything covered, but I can pay $200/mo. for insurance, have everything covered except a $5-$15 copay, AND no one but myself has a say in what kind of care I receive. No government can look at my medical records. Also, in America, we can eat what we want without the government shaking their finger at us. That might work for you people, but we like our freedom in America. We don't need a Nanny State.

I'm not scared of change– I know that bad changes can have disastrous outcomes. I'm for change that won't limit my rights, won't cut more money out of my paycheck (in Philly, we're taxed at about 25%), and will actually solve the problem. Universal healthcare isn't the only solution to our health care problems, and Washington seems to be forgetting that.

    80. 80

Stick to celeb gossip, Perez. Broun is not a Senator, he is in the House of Representatives.

    81. 81

      Re: chailatte

Oh, and remember, propaganda goes both ways. If you think the GOP is propagandizing Americans, that means you are feeding into the DNC's propaganda.

By the way, I am not a Republican, so don't start that "puppet" BS. I'm an individual that pays strict attention to politics and current events, who can no longer align themselves with either (thieving) party.

    82. 82

Perez you really know nothing about politics. Obama is an idiot who is going to ruin this county with this health care bill. Stick to gossip that's what you know!

Re: Solieh – Wow, this comment is kind of racist. I find the fact that you would even associate your perception of his job approval rating with the color of his skin OFFENSIVE. And even further proof that the US is not yet colorblind.
Responding to: He was making a point, Obama is a joke of a President that has changed history for being the 1st black president and will make history by being the last!!

    84. 84

We the people are getting screwed by our own "great" country. Our rights are slowing being taken away under the guise of "reform" and "terrorism" prevention. They don't care how much we're hurting, as long as we stay complacent.
So stay complacent guys, keep posting complaints on message boards and then go back to doing nothing tangible about it. That's what they expect. That's what they want. We're going to be screwed SO HARD and SO SLOWLY we won't even see it coming when we have no rights or actual say left.

Re: Brains of the Operation – ALL states have Senator, not most … dipshit! I just love it when someone calls someone else names, then shows their own ignorance in the statement they did it with. STFU

Re: chailatte – Please don't let these spoiled stupid Americans fool you. Your country got it right a long time ago and you currently have Americans sneaking into your country to get health care because they can't get it here in the states! Now that we have a President that feels healthcare is a civil right, not a privilege & he wants to change things for the better, they are all freaking out. 98% of Americans don't even know what is in the bill & just suck on their "boob tubes" for information and it's really sad. Especially the ones who watch FOX news. They even think that abortion will be federally funded by this bill! So as an American to a Canadian, you have a right to your opinion & you have a right to keep up with American policies, UN relations, & world events just like everybody else. Please don't let the whiney Americans who think everything is a controversy fool you into thinking we are all like that. Some of us are actually intelligent & caring people.

    91. 91

OMG…first…why is her referencing Snooki. And why are people shitting on this healthcare bill like its an original idea cooked up by Obama! Its OLD….they've been trying to get healthcare reform passed forever (minus the Bush jr. years). People really go apeshit when they think they're gonna loose $1 to someone else. WTF.

Big surprise, that a Republican would say that. Rolls eyes. No meeting anyone in any middle for him, which is pretty telling. Americans are getting pretty tired of posturing for points. When I hear Repubs on t.v. repeating over and over that 'Americans don't want health care', I wonder what happened to the 70% (for) polls that show they do, and single payer. What a gong show.

      93

Actually, the figures I saw were more like 76% FOR single payer public health care. If they say it enough, they seem to think it becomes true. Shakes head.
This doesn't sound like the kind of guy to work with anybody if they're from the other side of the house.
