Rihanna Pens Up Her New Album
She's been to the dark side, but now she is back and Rihanna is reportedly busy at work on another new album. She has enlisted the help of Sean “The Pen” Garrett to give the sound a lighter tone than Rated-R.
Sean says the album has got a few "surprises" for fans and he think's it'll be her best work to date. The Pen says:
"It’s a fucking smash. I gave her a humongous radio record. It’s just so infectious. It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive. It’s an encouraging record. It feels great and it’s got great tempo…Whenever I think of Rihanna, it makes me happy. To be honest, I wasn’t really that excited about hearing her in a dark zone. I love Rihanna for being that girl… She’s like the lil’ fantasy chick—nice brown skin, beautiful woman with a Caribbean swagger that’s ridiculous.”
We're ready for Rihanna to come back with a smash! She certainly deserves it!

Rated R re-release! It's too soon for a full new release. Rated R stands great on its own even if it's a little on the darker, moodier side. It's her best work to date and a solid album too. She just needs to re-release it with four or five tracks to balance out the mood and give it a more "Rude Boy"-brightness. Five new tracks/singles in addition to an already great album and it's sure to sell just as well, if not better than GGGB.

I think it's more because Rated R is boring. I can't imagine she'll enjoy performing most of those songs for an extended period of time on her tour. Plus everyone was expecting a more dace-pop oriented record before they got blind sided with Rated R. So I bet this album is the continued production of the album she was supposed to release.

Why does she deserve it? Everyone has gone through shit in their lives. I refuse to feel sorry for her. AND write your own goddamn music, you're no Whitney or Mariah. "She should write her own songs." Says who? Even though songwriting is an honorable talent, it's not the end-all of what makes a great artist. I can name plenty of artists who write their own songs who probably should stick with singing. You have people like Barbra Streisand, who for over 40 years sung other people's songs (yet one of the few times she's penned her own song, she won an Oscar for it–go figure). Rihanna doesn't have the best singing voice, but it's unique and very radio-friendly, and any song-writer trying to make it big would be crazy to not have her sing one of their songs.
As her for milking off the Chris Brown incident, she's only talked about it a few times. It's not like she's going around all the time talking about "Chris Brown beat me."
PS. Rihanna has song-writing credit on 9 of the 13 tracks of her last album…just sayin'.

sorry but artist is some one who creats, i.e writes music or plays it, a autotuned singer is not an artist. at best she is an entertainer and even then her dance moves, persona basically everything you see (make up and hair) is designed or thought of by someone else. she really is just a puppet. and for the 9 out of 13 song credit thing, artists today lie first off to sell records (i.e beyounce) but if they do write most write literally a word and they get song writing credit. she has no talent and i don't mean to by nasty but research the music business, you seem to be falling for the ruse they want you and others like yourself to believe. there is about 12 people in the music business that write everything you hear

The human singing voice is considered an art, and even if you don't think Rihanna's talented or can sing, that's just your subjective observation–please don't pretend you speak for everyone. Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion, Streisand, Lena Horne, etc..they didn't write their (all of their) own songs, so are they not artists? And don't try to condescend me with your pretentious "do your research" bs. I know a lot about the music industry.
