Olympian's Hockey Gear Stolen!

Sidney Crosby, who scored the winning goal for Canada in the Olympics, had his hockey gear stolen!
After scoring the game-winning goal in overtime Crosby's equipment got lost in the shuffle and now he doesn't have his gold medal-winning hockey stick or gloves!
Hockey Canada is launching a full investigation. His mouthguard was already returned and supposedly his helmet as well, but the stick and gloves are still missing.
Well whoever snatched them can't put them on eBay now without getting caught — he or she should probably just send them back!

Hos jersey & other stuff got stolen another time too, but then it was returned. I hope he gets it back.
he has got to be THE hottest hockey player out there… but that sucks about his gear :\
AWWWWW THis sucks for him
Come on i get it, its worth a lot of money but like he worked hard for this shit and now someone stole it from him
CROSBY SUCKS!!!! OVECHKIN IS THE BEST HOCKEY PLAYER IN THE WORLD!!!! Crosby has the Eli Manning Syndrome (looks like a baby bird fetus)
@heyitsme - If you think Crybaby is the hottest hockey player out there you need to do more research! Jose Theodore (who may not be the most talented goalie in the NHL…) is so sexy it's unbelievable.
Anyway, I knew Perez would hop in the Crosby boner bandwagon sooner or later. I can't get away from that sissy prima dona.
And whoever stole his gloves is GROSS. I don't know about any of you but I have been witness to actual hockey gloves before and they stink worse than anything I have ever smelled in my entire life.
Ovi is the ugly one!!! Come on now!!! Sid has won a Stanley Cup and a Gold Medal!!! Ovi has won a few scoring titles and MVP's… When he can win a championship then you have the right to brag!!! But until then just keep on Trashing Sid for being "MILES AHEAD" of Ovi…
its hard to feel sorry for someone who makes 10 million dollars a year plus endorsements
he's gorgeous i loooove sidney crosby!!
Hottie!
fuck you crosby. I thought you were sexy. Now!! your just a dick!!! I hope you never find your shit. fuckin' asshole.
This person will deff get caught. ATTENTION WHORE
at least we know the medals are safe….
AWESOME. This guys a big FUCK TARD. FUCK YOU CINDY.
Re: marmar21 – Why are you so hysterical? What did he ever do to you? Also, if you want to insult someone, learn the difference between your/you're first (I think it's taught in third grade) otherwise you'll look pretty stupid.
Sidney Crosby is an amazing hockey player. Who gives a shit what he does or how he is off the ice?? I've met him a few times and he's always been polite, charming and very responsive to fans.
His parents are quite nice too, they live just a few blocks from me actually. I truly hope he gets his gear back..stinky or not, they're keepsakes that can never be replaced.
These haters are hilarious. It's pretty low to steal his stuff, he's the sweetest guy.
Whoever marries that guy is one lucky bit$h. To me he's the most eligible man in America.
As for the stick and gloves, if the HOF wanted to keep anything for momento, they should have been on alert immediately after the game to collect those things. SHAME on them. I understand this has happened before regarding him. What's that saying that goes..FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON…
Guys it is the HOCKEY HALL OF FAME that wants it. Not him. Get a CLUE!!!!
Re: 01badgirl – Sorry honey he may be in America but he is all CANADIAN!!! People are jealous haters of Sidney, he is an amazing athlete and a stellar guy who was raised by two of the best parents around. He is humble and has an ass you could bounce quarters off until the moose come home lmao!!!
How is this news, no one cares about Sidney Crosby and his disgusting face. How about Ryan Miller getting MVP, or the fact that he had to fight to keep "Matt Man" on his helmet to honor his cousin who died of cancer at 17. That's a real story about real athlete who has heart and actually cares about the game, his team, and people. Sidney Crosby only cares about himself, all of team Canada did. Even Mike Babcock (the coach) admitted that he wanted to win the gold medal for themselves before the country. That's sad that they won the gold medal because that's not what the Olympics are about.
Okay, he's the most eligible bachelor in North America.
I don't understand why people are acting like it's Crosby that's making a fuss about this. It's the Olympic people and those who want to put the stick into the Hall of Fame. He wouldn't even get it. Crosby is a great player all around and yes he's gorgeous. Rock on Crosby! Let's go Pens!!
Re: CurlySueee –
I agree Ryan Miller is a great person, but so is Sidney Crosby. While most players are out partying he goes to charity events with Mario and his family. He's extremely polite and great with his younger fans.
LOL at all the bitter Americans on here. Sorry you lost. F-ucking get over it.
Re: JackTheRipper – It's not the fact that U.S. lost it's the fact that the canadians won. I would have rather had any other country win, even Russia. At least Ovechkin and Malkin were playing for their country. The olympics is about playing for your country not for yourself and everyone on that canadian team was playing for themselves.
@CurlySueee - I agree with everything you said!
Re: CurlySueee – Who cares? America won the most medals so what if they won mens hockey? Plus, Crosby plays for MY team, the Penguins, and WE are gonna win the Stanley Cup AGAIN this spring!
Re: CurlySueee –
OH Please!!! you think with the over-inflated egos of the American players, that they were 'playing for the country'? All of countries involved were there to win the gold, did you not see the looks on the US team while they were receiving the silver medal, I saw MAYBE 2 of the players say thank you to the person who placed it around their neck. They were after the gold just like any other country and were sore losers when they lost it. They should have been happy and grateful to win 2nd and not look like complete jerks by practically snubbing the silver. Not one had a smile on his face for placing second.
Re: Lynanne – They weren't even projected to get that far. Half of them had plane tickets home for the morning of the gold medal game. They were projected to finish 5th, so the olympic committee booked them flights on sunday morning. They were so devestated by losing, listen to an interview of Ryan Miller, or Brooks Orpik everyone is upset. And speaking of people being rude Sidney Crosby was angry when people booed him in Pittsburgh last night, You're in America hunny, you're making american money those people are paying your salary so shut up and take it like a man. P.S. Mike Babcock said that the canadians wanted to win the gold medal for themselves over their country. They wanted to do it all for themselves. The American team wanted to win it for america. I'm not doubting that everyone wanted to win gold, cause that's obvious. I'm doubting their reason for wanting to win gold.
i hope he gets it back!
CROSBY is the Best, F*ck OVI lmao…and CurlySue ur JUST MAD, get over it..CANADIANS WON & USA SUCKZ lol (in hockey that is)
Yeah he lost his jersey after he won the World Junior Championship (against Russia and Ovechkin and Malkin, go figure). It was found by a Post Canada employee who returned it to Crosby.
Stolen what?? his gloves few over the glass as he threw his hands up. My friend was at the game and sat behind the guy who caught one of them. I am proud of Sidney and the team but really the guy is a cry baby
Sidney!!! The best player in the NHL! I love that picture. lol
The Hockey Hall of Fame wants it. No one else really gives a crap, without a doubt some excited fan took it as a souvenir! Hope they enjoy their time with it!
Ahhhh I love Sidney Crosby he's the best!!!!!! And don't be jealous that America lost Canada deserved the gold!
curly sue you dont even fucking know what you are talking about! canadians definetley know what the olympics are all about and the canadian boys showed it with the heart they played with on the weekend. and you want to talk about true heart in the olympics talk about CANADIAN joannie rochette the figure skater who lost her mom 3 days before she was set to skate at the olympics. she fought throught the pain and got the bronze medal! thats heart..and thats what all canadians have!
i love sidney crosby! we're sooo lucky to have him here in pittsburgh!
Soo SO proud of Sidney, I think all of Nova Scotia is!!!!
What about the jock strap and socks?
I respect joannie rochette, I rooted for her. But just because she is that incredible doesn't reflect on all canadians. The American team went through a lot as well Ryan Miller lost his cousin with whom he was very close to to cancer several years ago. Phil Kessel had testicular cancer at 19. I'm not hating on canadians as people, I just don't like the players on the team, especially Sidney Crosby. There are plenty of canadian players in the league I respect and like, unfortuantely none of them were on the team.
I just wanted to say good job to the canadians on a great closing ceremony…. bahahahahahahaha waite bahahahahahahaha that shit was the worst closing ceremony ever hahahahahaha
dirty, jose thodore slept with Paris Hilton, so you;d have to get tested for STD's if he sneezed on you.
WHOOO HOOO CANADA!
Re: dirty_couture – you BOTH should do your research cause Mike Fisher is the hottest hockey player in the NHL and a damn good grinder too.
Also when I worked at Hockey Canada they had someone who's job was to troll Ebay and the Internet to find knock off's and illegal sales, etc.
They'll find the gloves and stick, no worries.
Sidney Crosby is AMAZING and easy on the eyes too! He is soo humble unlike other hockey players *cough* Ovechkin *cough*
I hope he gets his stuff back, the same thing happened a couple of years ago when Canada won gold in the JRs, except it was his jersey that went missing.
"SID THE KID it had to be you!!!!! You are AMAZING!!!!!!!! GOLD GOLD GOLD"
Re: CurlySueee – Where do you get this shit from? That is not true at all…perhaps you should know what you are talking about before you go yapping.
As a few of you have mentioned, Crosby lost his World Junior Championship jersey from 2005 when they won the gold medal. He had his game worn jersey from his first NHL hockey game with Pittsburgh stolen as well but that was also found in an airport between some pieces of equipment. He seems to be a target for getting his equipment stolen and although the Hockey Hall of Canada may want it like some of you have mentioned, I know that a lot of hockey players like having that kind of thing as a momento. Those World Junior jerseys get framed and given to the players while their alternate jersey is often sold at an auction for charity. A lot of players also collect game sticks. Maybe Crosby actually wants the stuff back as a momento, I mean he gets the gold medal but he may have wanted to give the stick to his parents for instance. Or maybe it was going to be auctioned off for charity. Those pieces would be HUGE dollars for charity right now.
Also, for those of you who have posted saying he's the hottest player in the league, do a little more research. Just because he's the face of the NHL doesn't mean he's the best looking one. Look up Jeff Carter, Scottie Upshall, Joffrey Lupul, Cam Ward, Jordan and Eric Staal, just to name a few. And if you want my opinion on the best looking guy in the league, look up Matthew Lombardi.
And Perez, keep posting about hockey! I throughly enjoy it!
Stop making the Canadians sound bad. The teams did their job out on the ice and Canada won. The Bonze placing team was pretty happy having placed in mens hockey but the American team getting silver were pissed off and almost crying, they got second and some dident even shake the medal presenters hand. Yes Canada also had their flaws, They always would quit playing when there was 10 minutes left in the last period but why are people hating on Crosby? He is pretty amazing at hockey and he works hard for what he has. If you lost something that ment a lot to you it would probably be sad for you too but i believe that its the Hockey Hall of Fame that want the stolen items.
Re: CurlySueee – uhh tell us exactly where you heard babcock saying that. Lets face it, your just jealous that america lost to canada, thats what it all comes down too, but you'll never admit that. You don't really have any right to say that canadians played for themselves, because NEWS FLASH americans are the ones known for being stuck up and about themselves and obviously in america the media makes it seem like that canadians were in it for themselves, this was CANADA's Moment to shine and DID we ever! us canadians dont get many chances to portray our pride, so this was it for us…so sorry if america was left out ..im sure if the olympics were in the US, ya'll would be making a big deal out of it too. And as for what the olympics are about …they are about uniting the people together and that is what we did!
Oh i just got to say wow you americans are sore losers, the womens hockey team were pissed and didnt even shake the officials hands as they recived the silver medal, same with the figure skater pair that came 2nd with silver after scott moir and tessa virtue won the gold, wow was that girl pissed and she showed it. During the olympics i saw that the americans were sore losers and there just mad that hockey remains canadas game and they just want to dominate everything.
"Don't get me wrong," Babcock said. "We'd like to do it for our country, but we would like to do it for ourselves first."
It's on USAtoday.com
And I'm not jealous, I just hate the players on the canadian teams. I would have rather had any other group of players win, EVEN OTHER CANADIAN PLAYERS!
Re: CurlySueee – no offense but look at wat ur source is…an AMERICAN newspaper, wen team canada won the gold medal, u dont really think they weren't trying purposely to make team canada look selfish. he could have been misquoted, u dont know. i seriously doubt he wuld say that, really who the hell wuld purposely try to make themselves look selfish. its a known fact that u can not always trust wat u read, even if its in a newspaper, its called propaganda, u read what they want u to read.
Re: CurlySueee – Many who are familiar with Mike Babcock's coaching tactics have said that it's just like Mike to think about the smaller picture rather than the bigger picture in order to alleviate the pressures of his players. Any good coach would relate to his team in a way that he feels would reflect the best game in his players. All of those guys were well aware of the pressure on them going in the tournament on home soil…I highly doubt they needed being reminded of those pressures. Instead, their coach played to their nature of simply being the best they could be and living to their utmost potential to create a moment that will live on forever for them and those involved - a quote from him that you may have missed. EVERY single player interviewed spoke about how much it would mean to them to bring home gold for Canada, every single one of them expressed pride in representing their nation and their utmost desire to make their country happy about a sport all of the nation is so passionate about. That's hardly being all about themselves.
Besides, so many Olympians talk about how much winning a medal means to THEM and why should they be judged for that? They spend years working on their craft, sacrificing a lot to make themselves better athletes in their respective sports. It's actually rather selfish of you to suggest that after all their hard work, they shouldn't think about winning for themselves and realizing their achievements in the most celebratory way known around the world.
People are stupid. I love Sidney Crosby! He is an amazing hockey player and happens to be really freakin sexy =)
Re: marmar21 – What a perfect lady you are. Time to wash your mouth out with his shower water.
This is ridiculous all I was saying originally was that this isn't a story who cares. There were much more interesting stories in the olympics, especially in hockey. Like Brain Burke's son dying weeks before, Or Ryan Miller fighting to keep his deceased cousins name on the back of his helmet. I'm not even going to continue the hockey fight or listen to how great of a person sidney crosby is, All I know is that Ryan Miller got MVP so that means something, None of his teammates have ever had a harsh word to say about him. That's more than I can say about crosby.
Re: CurlySueee – Your original comments included comments about who was selfish and who wanted to win for what reasons so it's not like anyone's changing the topic into something else. Was there more newsworthy things? Sure was, but honestly, I don't see why you would come on a celebrity gossip site and complain about what's newsworthy. I can't fathom you would actually think most of the things posted on this site are truly newsworthy. It's all senseless things that are there to read to make the time go by a little quicker. You're totally free to judge and hate who you like, a bit ignorant on your part perhaps to form a personal opinion of someone's character based on some negative things you may hear from other people…especially when you could easily find a ton more positive things if you cared to look. To each their own but it's hardly ridiculous that someone would respond to something you said. If your point was simply about what was newsworthy, then you should've done a better job of sticking to the real point you were trying to make.
Re: Reality101 – Sorry but when people attack me I feel the need to defend myself. Just call me human.
Instead of all sitting around debating whether this guy is an ass or not, why don't we just hope he gets his stuff back.
Not to mention if you don't like the guy because he score the winning goal for Canada, please, get a life. Anyone could have won that game.
Better luck for your country next time.
But life isn't about competition, its just what humans make it out to be.
Re: CurlySueee – Fair enough. Aside from one or two people who implied you were crazy, others brought up reasonable arguments. I'm not exactly sure which of the two you consider attacking but if it's the latter, I would have to thoroughly disagree with you there as well. Challenging opinions don't necessarily equate to attacking someone for their opinion. I get your point, you didn't think this was worth being news and you hate the players on the Canadian team who you know nothing about besides what negative things you hear among the far many positive things that's said about them. To each their own and I'll just leave it at that. Don't get me wrong though, I appreciate the fact despite many disagreeing with you, you didn't resort to calling people fuck wads and dickheads….those sort of responses are far too common online, lol.
Oh…I should probably point out that my comment about judging these guys you don't know wasn't meant to be said in a bitchy way…it's simply the facts. None of us here know these guys and what they're really about. While there are certainly not so nice guys in the league, there are definitely guys who are great on and off the ice and a few bad reports aren't going to convince everyone any guy in particular is an ass when there are so many positive things we hear and see them do. At the end of the day, we're all free to feel however we want about whoever we want, regardless of whether our assumptions are in fact correct or not.
hotttest hockey player ever
