I am not a fan of either of those girls but I am stoked to see this movie and hear the music. I think they are going to do an amazing job.       This is an inaccurate suckfest made to pander to tweenies who need a safe way to rebel (likelametwilight!), and reflect upon friendship, and fantasize about being in a band & having fun with no parents. Well, okay! Not my cup 'o tea, would rather see a "Coal Miner's Daughter" epic biopic about JOAN, but as for the song? The original wasn't any good, I think Dakota probably had to bring it down a bit to make it sound passable. Really, that song is cringe-worthy, no matter WHO sings it. I think Pretty WO-man should cover it.

      I was a teenager when the Runaways were 'popular.' They never achieved anything other than a small cult following and the rock and roll magazines covered them extensively for about a year, but then they just faded away. Cherry Bomb was a bomb and never got radio play. The were a novelty for supposedly being the first all girl band, but the women that were really making the hits and having the success were the really talented ones like Heart and the women of Fleetwood Mac and Linda Ronstadt. I always thought it was such a shame that these girls didn't have more talent. They really did suck. Hurray for Joan Jett and Lita Ford for having some success. One of the Runaways girls was a 'Bangle' for a while, too. Another 'all girl band' with a lot more hype than talent. Just listened to the real 'Cherry Bomb' on YouTube. Sounds pretty darned close. You're just a hater, Perez. You have the girls that you hate for some weird, obscure reason that only you know and you won't let up. I wish K-Stew great success!
