Recently Discovered John Hughes Screenplay To Be Produced!!

This is so crazy!

Paramount Pictures have purchased the rights to an unfilmed script written by deceased filmmaker John Hughes!!

Although Hughes quit Hollywood in 1994 and passed away last year, the creative mind behind The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off apparently left behind all kinds of film ideas and screenplays!!

Paramount is currently looking for a writer/director to give the script, called Grisby's Go Broke, a fresh spin and get it straight into production!!

We think this is kind of cool!!

If he's left behind all this unproduced work and movie execs don't eff up the source material, we'd definitely want to check it out!!!

What do U think?? Would U want to see a new John Hughes movie??

the movie producers will eff it up by casting zac ephron and other "pretty" faces that can't act and then turn it into one of the MANY trivial teen movies that we're bombarded with.

  2. 2

the inane producers, directors, etc. hollywood shits out these days would have no idea what to do with a good john hughes script. They would totally ruin it.

  3. 3

it won't be the same and nothing can replace him, it'll be a watch on DVD kinda movie for me, if it gets really bad reviews I'll wait until HBO airs it

  4. 4

yes, yes, yes!!! I just hope they honour his legacy and do not use it to botch his movie for their own personal gain.

  5. 5

WTF - they were never made into films cause he didn't want them made into films. Leave his shit alone and stop trying to profit from a dead man. Fucking scum rich movie execs. FUCKING blood sucking whore mongers. FUCK UPS ALL OF THEM!

  6. 6

Wellllll, some of his later screemplays weren't the greatest. "Flubber" "Home Alone 4" "Bethoven's 4th" "Babies Day Out" "Dennis the Mennis" "Curly Sue" etc….

  7. 7

"and movie execs don't eff up the source material"

Ummm what do you think "fresh spin" means.

Have you seen Drillbit Taylor? Probably not since it sucked so bad, but that was an unfilmed script from Hughes, that got a fresh spin from Seth Rogen.

  8. 8

    Of course!!!

John Hughes made the best teen movies of all time!

  9. 9

the vultures are already circling i see.

  10. 10

He's like the Tupac of screenwriters/filmmakers, apparently.

I mean, sure, ok. It could be good. However, Hughes stuff circa early 90s wasn't all that great. He did have a writing credit in the movie "Drillbit Taylor"…which is best left forgotten.

  11. 11

I would love it if they don't change it from his vision. But I'm sure they will unfortunatley without him it won't be a true John Hughes film :(

  12. 12

John Hughes was a legend!! If they actually stick to the script it may well be a good film. But I am sure they will find a way to fuck it up..

  13. 13

yes finally a good movie worth see'ing

    14

Um no because John Hughes is dead..Is this a joke? yeah because this is exactly what he would have wanted ..fucking vultures

  15. 15

Why did you say is this necessary like your last posting of John Hughes?

    Is was the BEST.

  16. 16

the more important question is whether John Hughes would want it produced

  17. 17

HELL YEAH I'LL SEE IT!! BREAKFAST CLUB IS THE SHIT!!!
To bad their more likely to fuck it up then make it great. -_-

  18. 18

yeah, I have a feeling John Hughes would be very much against this. The reason he started directing in the first place was so he could control his source material and produce the type of film he thought was important. Today's crowd is just going to ruin it.

  19. 19

THATS part of the reason why he left Hollywood, because all these big wigs were fucking shit up. ALL so-called "Teen Movies" have been complete crap, ruined by studios who care 200% about profit and 0% about substance. If it is an authentic Hughes screenplay, LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE! Honor his memory, his words and his brilliant talent or put it back in the drawer.

  20. obama says – reply to this

    20

Unless they resurrect John Hughes and he's involved in the movie they are going to ruin it. The reason why John Hughes' films were genius was because he was there doing it all. Period.

  21. 21

He obviously didn't want this made…

  22. 22

I'd watch anything from him if the studios don't eff up the making of the film.

  23. 23

Re: Spindoc – I loved Dennis the Menace and Curly Sue.

  24. 24

totally. don't mess it up though!

  25. 25

This is amazing. Hopefullllllllyyy, (if its a teen movie, most likely) when they make this movie, hollywood will put real teenagers because thats my perspective on the Hughes movies, it was the real deal (not the 20 somethings that are in high school movies now, Like please, who do you think your fooling? We do not look like that, mostly).
