J.J. Abrams Talks Fourth Mission: Impossible!!

We guess everyone's signed on!!

Despite his influence only SLIGHTLY improving the quality of the third film in this tired franchise, director J.J. Abrams back on board and hard at work prepping Tom Cruise for Mission: Impossible IV!

Both gents were present at the Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film ceremony in El Lay, and Abrams spilled some deets on the next addition of the action series:

“We have a really cool idea that we’re playing with and I’m looking forward to that coming to pass. [T]here definitely will be a European presence but there’s a whole crazy story, it’s definitely a jet setting movie.”

We don't get the appeal of these movies. The first one looked cool but made no sense, the second one was terrible and made even less sense, and the third one was PASSABLE if only because of Philip Seymour Hoffman's role as the villain.

We think it's time to take this one out to the pasture and put it out of its misery, folks.

What do U think??? Will U watch a fourth Mission: Impossible??

The first one was okey, the second was very good, the third was AMAZING. I am really looking forward to the fourth! And Im a 14 year old girl.

I could care less I HATE when they keep making movies to already SUCK ASS movies and THINK it will make them better/more money!

    3. 3

Second one was NOT terrible –try reading some of the reviews… (oh right, you CAN'T read) but nevertheless, I agree that a fourth one is just Cruise's way of admitting he can no longer carry a movie

    4. 4

Hopefully he gets ready with some strong Scientology vitamins.

Re: Novel1 – I could care less about reviews! I DIDN'T LIKE IT EITHER!!! None of them! And it's not that I am not into ACTION flicks, I am! Just not this FILM title/script let alone nut ass Tom! LOL!

    6. 6

I will, I love those films

    7. 7

replace MISS TOM. bring in a new actor, might save the franchise….

    8. 8

Hey Perez-Aren't you the one that said part 3 sucked and was the worst. Now that they are making a 4th then you are saying Abrams and Hoffman made the movie better than the first two? What a little piece of lying shit you are!

    9. 9

What else is Tom Cruise going to do? He's been pretty much MIA since Sumner Redstone kicked him and his production company to the curb.

    10. 10

Yes I will watch. Mission Impossible series have been pretty darn good as far as sequels are concerned.

    11. 11

I'll go see the movie only if they get someone other than that Tom guy to star!

    12. 12

I've never even seen any of them. Yea I know.

    13. 13

I think since Wanted isn't going to be done maybe they put James Avery in it. He actually was good in that movie. But if they don't use Tom Cruise they'll likely use Shia LaBeoff. For whatever reason they like to put him in action movies.

    14. 14

only cause my boyfriend will probably be watching it!

    15. 15

      i liked them.

@SammiDe it's "Couldn't Care less", if you could care less then it's not that bad is it?, Secondly the mission impossible series is fantastic, please stop being so ignorant, while i agree with you i do hate when they make sequels of movies that have already tailed off like Indiana Jones for example, in this case it doesn't apply.
@Novel1 are you stupid? First one was fantastic, second one they completely changed the entire tone of the movie, from serious intense thriller action film, to extremely cheesy and over the top, while the dialogue and what not was good, the action scenes were so cheesy, come on that motorcycle at the end? you didn't laugh at that? come on. The 3rd one was IMO better than first, just straight up phenomenal, partly due to Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

      Heee….No.

What are you taking about??? MI3 was the absolute worst of the three… it was no "improvement" as you say. It was a disaster from beginning to end…

      20

MI3 was the best reviewed film of the franchise and it's generally considered the best one of the series. The second one is a piece of shit that nobody wants to remember. And the first one was pretty cool, and it makes perfect sense Perez, if you couldn't undertand the movie maybe it's because you're and idiot with a teen brain who can only apreciate stupid movies like the Twiglight Saga.

    21. 21

I, for one, love the MI movies! Tom Cruise rocks!

Re: Marcus75YOW – How the hell does that make sense? Acting, directing (J.J. Abrams, duh of course that was good) and script were great, what the hell are you talking about?

    23. 23

sorry perez, as a fat, gay, UGLY, walrus looking, disgusting dressing person who thinks fat bearded trannies are "amazeballs" (and uses terms like that,) you are NOT the target audience.

    24. 24

are they going to get Tom Cruise 2.0 (taylor lautner) to be in this one? I'd go see it just for that. other than that - NOPE

    25. 25

      I will.

    26. 26

the first one was AMAZING….I have noticed that the people who were confused by the first one are not exactly the brightest people on the planet. if you're SMART, and actually PAY ATTENTION, the first is just very intelligent and makes perfect sense :P god, i am so annoyed by all these idiots who bash the movie just because they lack the brain power to understand it…NOT that difficult, people.

    27. 27

if you can't figure out the first MI, how do you figure out how to wipe your ass?
