Don't Screw With Helena Bonham Carter!
And especially don't mess with her when she has a hit movie out!
This weekend, Helena Bonham Carter received an official apology from a U.K. rag newspaper that printed "unfounded" claims about her home life with Tim Burton.
The piece published alleged that the "big happy family" was all living in separate houses, with Helena in one and Tim in another. The article also suggested that the two children and their nanny had their own "third house" situated on the same street.
Well, if that doesn't scream bullshit! What parent lets their two kids have their own house???
The editors of the newspaper, realizing the moronic fools they were for printing such a ridiculous story, issued an apology to the star for printing the incorrect information. The truth is, the family lives in one GIANT house that has three smaller living spaces interconnected. The children indeed do have their own section of the house, but is in fact in the same residence as their mother and father. The bosses of the paper wrote:
"The comment that this arrangement is 'not so much eccentric as chilling', is unfounded and we accept that Helena Bonham Carter is a caring mother and apologize to her for suggesting otherwise."

I've actually met Helena and had a conversation with her. She's a lovely really down to earth person regardless of how cooky she appears in interviews and movies! This just once again proves 80% of what is written in newspapers and magazines is absolute trash!

She is so sad…desperate to appear different all in some childish rebelling because when she was young it was suggested that she got the role in "A Room with a View" only because she was pretty and not because she has any talant. So since that time she has gone out of her way to look ridiculous. She is a middle aged woman now, time to stop acting and dressing like a spoiled teenaged brat.

Thats wierd - the Daily Mail printed a story recently that sounds the exact same. it seemed really quite sympathetic and presented the different houses situation as something that brought them together and gave them space at the same time. i remember reading it and thinking it just sounded ideal.
iv heard the seperate houses story over and over through the last few years.
Its a pretty well known fact they live in seperate houses with a connecting doorway. shes talked about it in interviews.
Id be careful about calling the Independant a 'rag' its pretty well resepected news paper thats displayed some good journalism over the years.
