Honey, I Shrunk The Kids Remake?

Yawn.

We liked the original, but it's so rare that a remake can do a film justice!

Supposedly a remake is in the works of the 1989 Disney live-action film Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. It wouldn't be another sequel since Rick Moranis isn't into Hollywood much these days, but rather a reinterpretation of the original movie.

We don't think this is the greatest idea, what do U think?

THE ONLY reason for this remake is "cuz what do you know its also gonna be on 3D!" wow….. 3D bores me now its soo yesterday

You don't think it's a good idea because the only thing you can spot is shit, just like that shit musician you spotted…what's his name? Motherfucker I don't even remember because he is so forgettable.

Anyways this is a great idea, for one reason only, and that reason is 3-D motherfucker.

      Yeah, I said it.

3-D motherfucking grass, and giant ants, and insects and shit, and sprinklers, and giant ass oreo cookies in 3-D.

      Are you kidding me?
That shit would make a gazillion dollars you stupid ass perez ass.

You get some young heartthrobs and a scene of them swimming in a rain drop and that shit made 120 mil $ right thur!

nooo, I grew up with the original. Hollywood needs to stop shitting all over people's childhood memories.

I would def watch it! With the advances in film over the years, if this film is done again it has the possibility of some amazing graphics. First one was great, but for the kids that haven't seen the original or are use to the way movies are done now, I think it would be quite enjoyable. But this is just my opinion and we all have one… lol

why bother ! a waste of time .
      leave it to the original.

Re: willsamer – I comletely agree with you. 3D would be AWESOME, and I will look forward to this if it happens.

    11. 11

Bad idea. It was a cute, slightly stupid movie that was lucky to be liked so well (I like it, not hating). A remake would only tarnish this move. :(

    12. 12

a tv. movie would be cool

    13. 13

Damn it! If Rick isn't in it then fuck that. I was excited up until I read that. :( I am a huge Moranis fan.

    14. 14

Geeze! Can't anyone think up something new anymore?

    15. 15

      Hmmm :)

    16. 16

NOOOOOOOOOO!!! why is Hollywood trying to ruin my favorite childhood moviess goddammit!!!! first karate kid, now this, and I heard they might remake (aka ruin) the Neverending Story!!! STOP!!! :(

    17. 17

      why now?

    18. 18

it might work if they can shrink the price of a ticket and popcorn!

no point in remaking a movie that is great to begin with.. and it's not like it's incredibly old soo.. i say no. it would be an insult to the first..

Re: foxxxyrae – neverending story? really? all ive got to say to that is FUCK NO. i was in love with those movies when i was a kid. hmm, ive got to watch that again sometime soon.

    21. 21

this talentless ugly jew is a perfect example of why young people who HOPE to make it in thee "INDUSTRY" should just realize its not how "pretty" or even how talented you are,but what god you worship.just look people..this ugly fcuk and hiltons just like him prospered from worshipping and sacrificing to molech.

    22. 22

Um it's WAY too soon to do a re-make of that film. Leave the original alone. It was such a great movie/Movies!

    23. 23

That is very stupid! The first was just fine!!!!!!!

    24. 24

Re: willsamer – LMAO …now that you put it that way! HA - I just might have to go see it! LOL!!

    25. 25

Re: foxxxyrae – Neverending Story! NO WAY! Where did you hear that at?? They better not TOUCH my favorite childhood movie! LOL!

    26. 26

I hate remakes, but this might be cool if it's in 3D.

    27. 27

Geez, do something new or at least something that hasn't been done yet, like doing a movie version of Land of the Giants TV show from the 60's (if they want to do something about shrunken people). With all the new computer technology we have now, it could really be something.

    28. 28

Why? The movie isn't that good to begin with, but I still watched when I was younger.. but i re-make - why?????????????????

    29. 29

I agree, I don't think a remake would not be a good idea. Sure, Rick Maranis would be hysterical, but nobody knows how serious he actually is. He is actually a musician, and a good one. On Saturday Night Live, where Rick Moranis (whom came from the Canadian SCTV, like most SNL actors) and his acting partner were soooooo sick of Americans coming up to them and jokingly saying "eh?" and "hoser" and "toque" and"How much Labatts do you have that they (as a way to vent frustration), invented these two drunken characters who used all those words frequently. The cast thought it was so hysterical, they decided to add it to the line-up. And now they are laughing all the way to the bank. P.S. He was most hysterical, I think, in Ghostbusters.

    30. 30

the only way id watch it would be if tim burton directed it. that would be grand.

    31. 31

I hope they don't do this. I mean, I loved the movie as a kid, but… is it so great that it's worth remaking?

And I dont think 3D will be that exciting when we've all seen the scenes before…

    32. 32

It was a pretty good kid/family movie that shouldn't be remade. That being said, it probably will be. Now the question really should be how bad are they gonna screw it up with their choice of replacements.

    33. 33

      anyway…..what happened to him…….the 5th ghostbuster…….

    34. 34

ewwww no no no!!! why dont writers and all those hollywood big shots come up with some new material besides remaking EVERYTHING?!?!

    35. 35

No…has Hollywood run out of ideas?

    36. 36

Horrible, horrible, just horrible. The original was good in the 90's, but they need to think about second-tier or third-tier budgeting! and going straight to D.V.D./Redbox.
GREAT IDEA…AND EPIPHANY….MAKE AN ORIGINAL MOVIE AND QUIT REMAKING SHIT….USE YOUR BRAIN NOT DIRECTORS FROM THE PAST.
and we pay this retards to re-film crap already made….where's the originality?
Too early, wait another 30 years jackass
