Creationism Getting The 3-D Hollywood Treatment!!

We think they may want to re-work this as an end-of-days story, because this sounds like it's going to be a DISASTER!!
Paramount Pictures is planning a 3-D retelling of the Book of Genesis' story of creation, which will be called In The Beginning!!
If you're unfamiliar with the Bible story, the film will center around the weeklong period it took God to create the world, which ended with Adam and Eve on Day Six, and God chilling out for the 24 hour period afterward.
Producers think the 3-D visuals and $30 million proposed budget will attract families and religious-minded audiences, and we think they're probably right!!
We don't know though…is the the latest Hollywood gimmick the best way to retell a Bible story?? If they eff it up people are going to FREAK.
What do U think?? Are U going to go see In The Beginning???

That's cool on both counts I'm just now reading your Roseanne things you did a good job backing me up! Thanks
*
Re: moonshain – wow, that's a little narrow minded, but whatever floats your boat. you CAN believe that God created the world and not be fanatical about it. just sayin.
@ Serena Loves Mario
No I believe you've been misinformed. Look it up, Texas Legislature. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean its not true! And that is exactly what the law does. Allows you to write the wrong info if it goes against your religious beliefs and not be penilized for it. And your friend if he's going to have his Phd. in chemistry. The very basis of life, the elements which were created during the big bang over 4.5 billion years ago. And yet he doesn't "believe" in evolvution. Then how are we here today and not specs of helium and hydrogen?
Re: maryjane420 – & Serena Loves Mario

Its been on the news over here to Serena Loves Mario that is what the law does its a travesty of education and learning.

Nope. Won't go see it. I knew the end of titanic, but it was a good movie. God creates this, god creates that… And it all gets screwed up and blamed on the woman. The end.
I wonder if I can do the same thing I did with Mel Gibson's Jesus movie. Someone asked me if I'd seen it I said, no i've read the book though. And they said "Oh really, there's a book?"
I'm sure it will be as complex as "Bruce Almighty", so I don't have much hope for it. It would be nice if they presented it in a mind-bending way that makes us actually think. The ending of "The Fountain" is the best example I can think of, though that was a little cheesy.
Actually, I think I'd just rather see an I-Max film with a blockbuster budget that explores the development of the universe from big bang to predicted death. Now that would be worth seeing in 3-D.
Re: Aussieone –
Thanks!
Re: RobPnMeShouldB –
I posted twice because this site's server sucks. Also, you should know the line that you're quoting. You're version is completely different, and wrong. jackass
Re: maryjane420 –
Right now Fox noise is producing and showing a number of stories on efforts by the Texas State Board of Education - as it grapples with curriculum modifications for its public school students - modifications that get implemented by textbook producers who provide materials for many schools beyond Texas.
*
Tis OK
*
Texas is demanding god and faith be put into the books instead of facts.
*
Maybe its about time we get some religion in our lives. Some moral character. Most people have lost it in this time, the media is no help.
Re: maddog12 –
*
I think its about time we all be grown ups and stop believing in childish falsehoods. Fighting wars and casting judgment on people over a false belief in god.
*
Its time to grow up and realize this is life here and now its time to enjoy it.
*
Some moral character yes all those wars and those child raping priests no thanks!
*
Religion has had its day it can be proved false its time to kick it to the curb and embrace reality!
Re: Aussieone – huzzah!
Re: Aussieone – Hey. Good to see/read you again! How are things down under?
*
As for everybody's chat about Texas: I'm worried sick about the kids I don't have yet! I'm gonna start a freakin' war before I let a public school brainwash them! Thankfully, the gubernatorial primaries gave Don McLeroy the boot. So glad, dude was batshit crazy "Somebody's got to stand up to experts" Texans are getting smarter though, I have my hopes up
Re: Ze German –
Australia is stormy lately (damn you global warming) no real rain for a year and then it all came In two days! All on my days off. And how are both you and Texas ?
*
Hey, I'm very good thank you
*
You did a good job on the posts!
*
Re: Aussieone – LMAO Oh noes. We've had the weirdest winter here, snow until 2 weeks ago and, as you can imagine, people were screaming left and right "Where is global warming when you need it?" "Ask Al Gore" Numbskulls. But now spring is back and life is good again. I'm preparing to go back to university for a degree in physics so life is getting even more exciting
Oh the ridiculousness… lol
*
And thanks! I was wondering why I didn't see any of your awesome posts initially but I knew you wouldn't miss out on a debate like this
Re: Ze German –

Don't feel to bad you don't own the market on crazies we have a new oposition leader in our Federal Parliament (Tony Abbott) who I suspect may in fact be a relative of Sarah Palin. He is bat-shit crazy but he is doing far to well in the polls for the freak he is. He didn't believe in global warming but now claims he does only because he has to if he is to have a chance to win the Prime Ministership.
*
Its our Autumn now and its the first rain in almost a year.
*
Yeah on holidays it was OK because it was hot even though it was raining.
I missed this one but was happy to see all your good posts, it put a smile on my face
*
Re: Aussieone – Damn you Perez, where is my post??? How many hours am I supposed to wait for your slow-ass server?? Arrrgghh…
*
Sorry, hopefully this one makes it through today. In my response, I asked if you're on FB!?
nope, it think ill watch 'creation' on dvd, about charles darwin instead…doubt it will get a uk release anyway. by the way, perez the adam and eve story is a seperate story to the 7 days one
Re: maryjane420 – I actually did look this up, as it hasn't been on the news in the UK and I read the US news regularly, as I'm an expat. It appears to be an ongoing debate in Texas, and nothing has been implemented yet. It's also the board of education, which doesn't have anything to do with the universities.
