Suing! Lindsanity Is NOT A "Milk-aholic!"
Lindsay Lohan is suing Internet financial company E-Trade for using her first name in a commercial for a "milkaholic" baby! The commercial aired during the Super Bowl and her lawyer argues:
"Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit. They used the name Lindsay. They're using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn't they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody's talking about it and saying it's Lindsay Lohan."
A spokesman for Grey Group, who produced the ad, says that they "just used a popular baby name that happened to be the name of someone on the account team."
La Loca wants $100 million for her "pain and suffering."
Oh please, you know she just drowned her sorrows in some "milk!"

I didn't even think of her, tbch. There's no proof they're making a mockery of her life. They could have just randomly picked out the name "Lindsay".
So, it turns out Lindsay did file the suit curiously using her father Michael Lohan's lawyer. I immediately thought the commercial referenced Lindsay Lohan. Her problems with alcohol and drug use are well known to the public and the baby at the end has red hair. The suit is a very, very bad idea. She's not known by one name like Sting, Seal, etc., can't prove anything, and does not seem to have a strong case. Perhaps she thinks this action will deter others from making references to her in the future and doesn't expect to win.

The popularity of the name "Lindsay" is not the point. The point is context, the name usage is a legal angle that the lawyers are taking. If an etrade commercial shows a baby, Michael, who does the moonwalk who comes to mind? Take a black baby with a bald head, call him Michael, and put him near a basketball rim and who comes to mind? Calling the baby LIndsay, attaching "aholic", and having the baby be a redhead does point to Lindsay Lohan. If etrade wanted to avoid that connection the baby could have had the name "Jane", that sounds nothing like LIndsay, and have dark hair. etrade's reference, to those that know Lindsay Lohan, was clear without using her last name and IMO, tacky.
First off, I LOVE the E-trade commercials. Never once did Lindsay Lohan cross my mind during one of them. That poor girl needs some serious help, and she must realize that the world does not revolve around her "pain and suffering".
