Taylor Momsen Still Trying To Be Edgy

littlejwenn2762481__opt1.jpg

Will this girl ever SHUT UP?!

Taylor Momsen yammered on again opened up to Parade magazine on how she has trouble "fitting in," her music, and how she has no interest in being a role model for children.

Well, that's pretty clear! Here are some HIGHlights:

On fame and being a celebrity:

"I'm not Paris Hilton. I don't really care about being a celebrity. It comes along with the territory so you can't totally avoid it. But there's a difference between doing the red carpet and having people invade my personal life taking pictures of me. And that's why celebrity is so stupid.

"You don't want to become something that a few million people watching your show want you to be. I want to be who I am because, if I lose that, then what am I doing this for? It's not about fitting in. If you don't fit in as yourself, then you don't fit in."

On her music career:

"I've done an album. Music is where I can be me. I really do it because I love it, honestly. It's what I want to do with my life. I mean, it's my only goal. Acting is easy. I've been doing it for so long and I totally love it.

"But you're playing a character instead of yourself. Music is more personal because you're writing it and you're involved in every step of it. I've been writing songs since I was, like, five and I've been singing since, like, I can't remember."

On her so-called "attitude":

"I don't read that crap that describes me as having an attitude, but I don't know why that's a bad thing. Attitude is in the eye of the beholder. I didn't get into this to be a role model for 7-year-olds. I have no interest in doing that, you know? If parents don't like some of the stuff I do then they shouldn't let their kids watch me.

On smoking:

"I smoke, so what? Why do people give a shit what a 16-year-old girl who they've never met does? It's not like I'm sitting there going, 'Kids, you should go buy a pack of cigarettes.' When I walk outside with a cigarette and someone takes a picture of it and puts it on the Internet, its not my problem. I'm just living my life and I'm not gonna live my life for other people."

She's always spewing the same BS in every single interview!

We get it, Little J — you're SO edgy and cool…

Her attitude on fame is pretty sensible, we'll admit. At least she won't take it too hard when her career is over!

      Lol i hate this bitch.
I want to walk up to her and just start singing "Where are you christmas? why can't i find you?"
Just to see what she would say or do. haha

    2. 102

i think she is totally right. and such a good actress for her age. whats wrong with having her own life?

    3. 103

wow a 16 old smoking, that's new. honestly stop trying to pick a fight with her perez sure the whole 'wanting to be herself' thing is a bit lame and she reminds me of avril lavigne with the whole 'i wanna be hardcore but look cute at the same time' which is so overrated and stereotypical but give her a break

    4. 104

      I like her.
I hate the makeup, but I shouldn't care, like, right? Hahahaha.

    5. 105

Hate to admitt it, but she does have a point. But she should stop trying so damn hard, though.

    6. 106

      Welll, all-RIGHTY then >_o

    7. 107

I think this interview is great. She wants to be herself, what's wrong with that? I think it's fantastic that she doesn't change who she is just in case cameras are rolling. That's how you lose your sense of self in Hollywood - by play acting to the cameras. Hopefully this young girl won't get lost in the moment, will stay true to her values and be a great success.

    8. 108

This little twat needs a solid punch to the head. She is a try hard and it shows.

    9. 109

      Who?

    10. 110

Omg, like, she's so totally hardcore. Not.

    11. 111

She's so angry, and really.. she has no reason to be…

    12. 112

there is nothing any person (cops, parents) can do legally if someone underage is smoking , unless they're stealing them from the store .
so just leave her alone .
everything she said was true , get over it .

    13. 113

I have no idea who she is or what she does. And I don't care. If she is still around when she's 30 I may start paying attention.

    14. 114

shes forever saying the same shit in every interview
      get over yourself bitch
you are not joan jett. fuck of back to gossip girl.
      poser.

    15. 115

yeah yeah yeah sure, these days every celeb likes to badger on about how they never "fit in" and were bullied.
tell us something we dont know…shes the same as the rest
plus if she WAS bullied, its probably coz shes so up herself

    16. 116

Re: Brittttt – i agree…and the sad thing is that innocent healthy peole end up with cancer and bitches like her who like to suck on cancer sticks to pretend to be cool end up living to be 80

    17. 117

      Re: Ashesss – LOL
thats officially the best comment on here

    18. 118

      she reminds me of Kesha
      both of them are idiots

    19. 119

She'll never be big or get very far. Her last name sucks…"Momsen" That'll never cut it. As silly as that seems…entertainment is a finicky bitch and something like a bad name can sink you faster than a torpedo. She just looks desperate with the heavy eye make-up and the "trying to look like I don't give a shit" expression. Believe me…she gives a way big shit!

    20. 120

wow, good for you! ooh i bet your the tough shit you stupid wannabe emo fucker slut whore selfish bitch!

    21. 121

Why is this so bad Perez… She's right.
She's doing what she loves and not changing for anybody.
      I admire her for that.

    22. 122

      POSER

    23. @v@ says – reply to this

      123

She should just do her thing. She's right about a lot of it, but celebrity comes with good money AND the fish bowl, so no swinging off of the chandeliers in public, anyway.

    24. 124

So if they fit they Hollywood mold, they're boring, if they are different, they're lame? Cant win with you. Do you even realize how young she is? She is hardly the first 'edgy punk rock' teenager, no one called you out on the public stage for being awkward then.

    25. 125

Great you dont want to be a celebrity, speaking for the public the feeling is mutual! We dont want you to be a celebrity so just go the fuck away already and stop doing interviews because your stupid is showing!

    26. 126

ps your going to look wicked edgy when you need to use a voice box because of the holw in your throat nitwit!

    27. 127

she is not likeable–there are a lot of "bad girl" types that are loved by their viewers, but she is not one of them—all my friends stopped watching now that she is posing on the upper East Side

Re: thefabulousB – It's precisely BECAUSE Miley is a Disney star and Taylor isn't that Miley gets scrutinized more. Miley is essentially getting paid TO BE a role model for young kids, Taylor is not (especially not being on a show like Gossip Girl). Maybe once Miley leaves Disney for good, she won't have that albatross around her neck anymore. Not to mention the fact that Miley isn't as up front about her dirt as Taylor is, and when Miley DOES get caught, she always makes up some stupid excuse. At least Taylor owns it.

I frankly do not understand all the negative backlash to her comments. She clearly realizes that there is a price she has to pay (i.e. stalkerazzi) for doing that which she loves (i.e. acting and music). That's a pretty mature attitude for someone as young as she to have.

And she also has a point that a celebrity's home should be off-limits. Let's be real, if Joe Blow was climbing over fences and looking into windows, it would be called trespassing, stalking, voyeurism, etc. But put a camera in his hands and it's perfectly okay? Am I the only one that sees a problem with that?

Personally, I adore Taylor. Even if she really isn't as "hardcore" as she wants people to think she is, she clearly still is no angel, and has no qualms about stating as such, and I have to respect her for that.
