Whoopi Goldberg ripped herself away from The View desk long enough to voice a new character for the upcoming Pixar flick, Toy Story 3.
Her name is Stretch and she is a "glittery purple rubbery Octopus thing." We think she is suppose to be like those goo-creatures you'd get for a quarter at the supermarket machines. Remember? You throw them against the wall or a mirror or in front of your mom's line of vision while she is cruising in the mini-van and wait to watch it slither down the glass?

I'm still not convinced yet. I loved both "Toy Story" movies as much as the next guy, but I really just wish this year we got another original work from Pixar, instead of a follow-up to an established franchise.

Remember the toy stretch octopuses popular in the 70s? I had one and loved it. You could pull its legs unimaginably far, but I finally succumbed to the temptation and bit into it and my Mom made me throw it away. Boo hoo.
