      Kristen Stewart isn't that bad at all. Dakota Fanning is a little higher pitch than I'd like though.

      They're better than a lot of the acts YOU like to promote and they're not even a real band!

      Fuck Perez and ghost writers, take a music history lesson. They were a little punk band back in the day, you don't sing punk all disney channel like. It's about being gritty and raw and confrontational. Dakota's voice is a little too high to get Cherie's deeper growl right, and Kristen's slightly missing that gravel that Joan's voice has. But overall, Kstew sounds great, and Dakota is doing pretty well.

      Perez, you're missing the point, The Runaways were not a great band that had hits. They were the first, all female ROCK BAND to make it far enough to get noticed and kick some ass along the way. All of the clips you have posted so far are very true to the original band. So sit back and enjoy a history lesson on the origins of Girls in Heavy Rock, this was the beginning!!!!

      Well, I saw the Runaways many times in their heydey. Many people forget they were young girls and relatively unschooled, clumsy musicians. Cheri Curry wasn't much of a singer; she had a thin little voice. But she had a kind of tattered, wispy sex appeal. I think Fanning captures her accurately. I just can't get into Stewart's unrelenting blandness as Joan Jett though. Jett was (and is) so much tougher and edgier. Stewart's performances all feel empty to me.
