We Call This Throwing Away Money!

Quite a way to celebrate signing a $91.5 million contract, isn't it?

The newest member of the Chicago Bears, Julius Peppers, celebrated his new deal by buying 25 flaming bottles of Perrier Jouet Fleur de Champagne ($350 a pop!) at the Crescendo nightclub in Chicago!

Hope he has a good business manager!

    Flaming champagne? Now THAT's gay!

Thats chump change ($10,000 w/tip) for a fun night out. Well worth it if you ask me!

They go to nightclubs with guns and shoot each other and themselves, get on the road and drive drunk and kill people, cheat on their wives……..I think it might be time we all BAN professional sports, their stupidity knows has no end. How hard is it to spend money wisely, hire a chauffer, hire a bodyguard/chapperone, and not get married until you are REALLY ready!!

it's nice to see pro athletes stepping up to stimulate the economy and, um, create jobs or whatever.

with a 91 mil contract! WTF kinda business manager do you THINK he has dipshit!

not going to debate the obscenity that is rampant & vulgar consumerism but in the context of the price of champagne/wine, $350 is not expensive

Let me get this straight. Spending 0.104 % of your salary on celebrating is wasting your cash? That's like being given $500 and spend 52 cents to celebrate!

Typical of people there. They all think they're so importat ad rich. They have a little money and try to throw it around.

he doesn't even drink! he's a nice guy and used to do this all the time in charlotte so give the guy a break!! he made 1 million a game for the panthers, i think he has a few $$ to spare, chicago is lucky!

All that you can take away from this life is your experiences and perhaps that is something that he has always wanted to do when he signed a big contract. Either way it really isn't newsworthy.

See that all the time in South Beach - $350 a bottle, not a bad price as clubs go.
