Drug Overdose Not Ruled Out In Corey Haim's Death
Although reports surfaced that Corey Haim's heart was enlarged and there was fluid in his lungs, the coroner had not ruled out a drug overdose as a cause of death.
"You can have somebody with an enlarged heart and some other medical conditions, but you don't know if the actual cause of death is from illegal substances, medication or heart failure," said Los Angeles County Deputy Coroner Ed Winter.
Yet, his body may have been weak from the years of drug abuse.
"There were some preliminary findings, and we agreed to let the mother know what those were," Winter said. "It was explained to her that even though this is some preliminary findings that the doctor observed, there wouldn't be a final cause of death until the final toxicology tests are back."
The cause of death may not be determined for another six weeks.
Even Corey Feldman has even asked that people not "jump the gun" to assume that Haim died from drugs.
So sad.

To be honest, I really don't know who he is. Apparently he was big, because there is a ton of news on his death.
Regardless, this is a terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to his family and friends. His time was far too short. Rest in peace.

He was getting clean the last time people talked to him,he was saying that he wanted to start over and make a comeback,he also said he wanted to settle down ,get married,and have children .
Its sad he'll never get the chance to.
He said he wanted an academy award and im sure if it wasn't for the drugs he did early in his career he would have..because he was such a talented actor,soo believable

I believe people who turn to drugs and lead these sad lives do so because of some trauma they have suffered in the past.
Enlarged heart sounds probable, as it results from prolonged alcohol and/or drug abuse. So sad.

Sounds like years of drug abuse and then a bout of pneumonia on an already weak system took its toll. Everytime an actor who has had any trouble dies it's a "drug overdose". I would never want my children to be actors.

Michael was NOT 40 in the '80s and Corey confirmed a few months ago that it was not Michael who molested him. And to all the people talking crap about Corey, back off!! This is ridiculous. Brittany Murphy dies and all this guy says is 'drug addict, drug addict', and even when it was proven that it wasn't drugs that killed her, he still suggests that it was.
Then THIS has-been dies with four open bottles of perscription pills next to him and you're all 'maybe it wasn't drugs' and reporting on it every two seconds when NO ONE CARES.

The two conditions can go hand in hand so the drugs can go along way toward causing the other. Sad though when anyone loses the battle if they are fighting addiction.

Anyone that claims this guy couldn't act, they need to go watch the movie Lucas. He was what 12/13? when that movie was made. He upstaged everyone on that movie. I need to rent that.
