Heigl Almost Done With Grey's Anatomy
After 6 years on the show, Katherine Heigl could not be happier to leave Grey's Anatomy!
Sources say that she's almost out the door. Apparently, creator Shonda Rimes has agreed to let Heigl out of her contract, but it is up to ABC and Heigl's reps to hash out an agreement.
She has already been gone for half the season to film a movie and spend some time with her adopted daughter. We can't imagine anyone would miss her! Katherine was due back on set on March 1st, but she never showed up.
One source claims that the actress “was at home and ready to return to work.” Yet another “insists it’s much more complicated than that.” Talks between ABC and Heigl have become heated and both sides agree that they should not wait till the end of the season to get rid of Izzie.
Considering that she is not returning to the Grey's set, her episode has already aired!

They should've been kicked her ass off the show. She comes off ungrateful like she made the show. It's called Grey's anatomy not Lizzy's anatomy. She thinks her movie career is going to make her a star when her biggest movie was Knocked up and she insulted them so I doubt she will be working with them again. She need to humble herself before she finds herself on "I'm a Celebrity get me out of here" or "dancing with the stars" b/c no one else wants to hire her.
Should have killed her off at the end of season 5. She was ready and willing to come back for the last few episodes of season 6 but ABC have messed up and haven't even bothered to give her a good send off like she deserves. Love or hate Katherine she's been a big part of Grey's she's given some amazing performances and took the limelight during grey's peak (season 2 finale). Since then Shonda Rhimes has continued to take on more work and has run out of ideas for her original 5 interns. I will miss Katherine on the show
KILLED HER OFF LIKE THEY USUALLY DO… HAVE HER CANCER SPEED UP OR SHE CATCHES AN UNKNOWN STD THAT TERMINATES HER CHARACTER WITHIN 24-48 HRS. PRETTY MUCH. MARIO AND PEREZ = DUMB AND DUMBER.
I agree with sarajo8, she should have just been killed off..It would have been a better ending to her story (dying with her best friend george) than just not coming back to wherever izzie is…

she is not that great of an actress. All the characters in her movies so far are the same, just different names and different storyline and cast. I am a fan of Grey's and until now, all this time I had not even notice that she was not around, so will not be missing here. I wanted O'Malley back but they killed him off
I don't know why I dislike this woman, but I do. Kill her off and then send her to some remote leper colony. Ever time I've heard her on late night etc., she's soooooooo ungrateful; like she's entitled to everything she wants. Well, there are about 4,000 waiters/waitresses in the EL area that would happily put up with all her bullshit.
the show is 150 times better without her on it. I don't care how they get rid of her, just do it already!
she definitely seems ungrateful. the reason i watched her movies was because i knew her from grey's. probably won't see her films in the future. bet her star will spiral downward. always seems to when stars get huge heads.
Considering she breeched her own contract, they should take her out any way they want. Regardless of what else she is doing, she broke the contract she agreed too. That's messed up.
They should have her killed off some crazy way, have one of the staff call everyone together and tell of this tragic incident. Pause, and move on with the show…
I am a uge fan of the show, and WAS a huge fan of Katherie Heigl….up until her true spoiled colors started to show. I really hope they dont give her character a good ending. They should just have her walk out to her car mad like they did with Dr. Erica Hahn, and then just stop sending her scripts. She is so ungrateful. This show boosted her carreer! I never heard of her before this show…and this is how she treats them?…by being a no show at work!! How unprofessional! She's acting like a spoiled brat…not a grateful actress with a great career and family. It's sad.
and why do you need to point out that her daughter was adopted? the kid is her daughter. period. when she first came home it was news, but they're family now.

ugggh. izzy doesn't really need to come back to the show, her character is done. there way more exciting things going on than her messing with karev's head, and that BS about meredith and christina asking why she hasn't called is lame.
Shonda Rhimes has taken the show to another level this season, it's been amazing. i did like katherine heigl like before she became a bitch, being so ungrateful, thinking her movie career is better than greys. her movies are not as great, or entertaining, and she doesnt really bring anything to her movie roles. just dont bring her back to greys. we're all over her.

I LOVED Izzy the first 5 seasons, however this season I think the writers have purposely tried to ruin her character cause they know in the end Katherine will be leaving. I've grown to really dislike this character this season and the only one I truly miss is O'Malley.

She hasn't shown up on set at all. I really can't stand her, she is the most ungrateful hypocrite i have ever known. Great way to treat the people who gave you a job. You'll be like every other tv actress who tries to branch out, you'll be nothing within 2 years.

Izzie should have died with George. As it was her character has jumped the shark and if they don't get rid of her soon she will be staying on since her movie career seems to have jumped the shark too.
