Feldman NOT Attending Corey Haim's Funeral!

And what does he have to do?!
Corey Feldman will not be attending longtime friend Corey Haim's funeral in Toronto on Tuesday. He claims that he wants the event to be a small family gathering out of respect for this friend.
He said:
"In the days following my best friend Corey Haim's death, I have spent much time with his mother Judy, who has always been like a mother to me. I would love nothing more than to be by her side at Corey's funeral, however, due to their strong religious beliefs and need for privacy, the family has decided to make Corey's funeral on Tuesday a small private affair."
The service is being paid for by Startifacts, a celebrity memorabilia site that is "donating" $20,000 to cover costs such as transportation of the casket and purchasing a headstone. The funds are available because they are auctioning off his belongings on the site!
And his family okayed that?! The Haims are also asking those who wish to send flowers to the funeral donate to their local cancer ward.
Although Corey Feldman isn't completely out of the loop. He's got something of his own coming up!
"I am working with a few people who were close to Corey to put a memorial together within the next month," said the former child star. "At that time, the media will be invited to honor and celebrate the legacy he has left behind, along with friends, fans and the rest of the Hollywood community."
Of course they are!

i'm guessing that the family doesn't really have the money to bury him.
it sucks that they have to do it that way, but maybe they don't have any options.

is anyone really going to attend a memorial service for him?
no offense, just wondering.
How come I am reading in the Toronto Star newspaper that I (the Toronto taxpayer) is paying for his funeral?
I don't mind as I was a big fan back in the 80s. But why give credit to some company?
Ok THIS is getting ridiculous. He wasn't even really good friends with the guy, they were thrown together because they were the same age, actors and both named Cory, THEN they became drug friends, then stopped hanging out together when Feldman sobered up. It's gross to watch him try to attention ahore this thing up. I'm betting he's out right now trying to sell the Memorial he's planning to E Television.
Why are you asking "and what does he have to do" if the article specifically explains the reason why he is not attending?
I think that's very respectful of him…
I doubt Feldman even talked to him anymore. Why wouldnt he be at his "best friends" funeral. such crap.
What he really meant to say was that he's BROKE and can't afford to fly to Toronto! It's funny bcz he sure did find time to blab to Larry King!
I watched some episodes of their reality TV series and there were definately some unresolved issues the two Cory's had. One was related to a trauma that Cory Haim experienced that he felt Cory Feldman enabled. Also there was an episode that had Cory Haim going to a cardiologist and getting an EKG because he was having cardiac problems. Definately stuff that went down in the day when those two were child stars that wasn't pretty.
Ok.
I just think they don't want that fu—–Corey there! Partners in fucing up there lives. Corey is a freaking has been!!!! I feel so sorry for the parents. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Corey!
mario's gravesite will have a permanent water feature…everyone will be pissing on your grave
Ummmmm…….not invited - HELLO!
Do "you" even read the shit you write anymore? First you are all rude about 'dropping' his friend's funeral and then you explain it all afterwards. Jeez…
"Legacy"? Give me a break. I'm going to declare "the emperor has no clothes" on this one.
Both Coreys are barely even good for a mention on "I Love the 80s". They are not likable, they didn't do anything epic in their "careers", they weren't even good-looking, for chrissakes. He was a person who died.
Stop it.
I'm with Random Reader on this one. He was a minor douche back then and a nothing now. Sorry, but I don't think either Cory's deserve any mention more than he died.
Sorry Perez-you need to get your facts straight. He says that Haims family is making it a PRIVATE affair. Also, the city of Toronto is paying for it, not Starifacts.
We (the city of Toronto taxpayers) are paying for the funeral.
This is also a Private affair. Leave them be. Please. His family probably gave everything they could for his addictions over the years. They do not have the money. SIMPLE. Give his family peace.
Toronto tax payers are not paying for his funeral, that was just hear-say. It's been confirmed that it was false. Corey Feldman and Corey Haim were indeed best friends, I'm not sure what evidence anyone may have seen to the contrary. There are plenty of videos of them out together, recent videos.
Corey Feldman's non attendance of his best friend funeral is out of respect; and while it's easy to label Corey Haim, as so many have done this past week, it's important to remember that he was a person. He was someone's son, a friend to many, and loved by many, and his death was and is very painful for his friends and family. There is no need for disrespect.
I read on the CBC website today that the city denied that they were paying for it.
hey…Junkies die
What Legacy?
The SAG ppl are paying for the funeral. The funeral is happening at the cemetery I used to work at in the summers.
Glad to hear Corey is doing this ““““ for Corey!!
Get your facts straight, you insensitive idiot. It's the funeral home in Toronto that is donating its services, with Startifacts helping in the funding. I live in Toronto and we mourn our native son.
Perez, how in the world do u allow pathetic people like Omgggg to even comment on your site. Any one who can make a comment as such, deserves to be shot. Can you please delete that disgusting shit. OMgggg, let's get some thing straight, comment when some one you love dies. You effen sicko. I'm sorry that i had to subject myself to this behaviour, however, i was just utterly sickened by that comment.
