Simon Cowell reportedly wants Cheryl Cole to be a judge on the US version of The X Factor saying:
"I'd love to have Cheryl on the show. We have great chemistry. Cheryl's a natural star. People can't help but warm to her."
And apparently she's accepting the offer! An insider reveals:
"Simon thinks America will fall in love with Cheryl, just like Britain has. She has a unique talent for winning everybody over. She gets involved emotionally with her acts, whereas the other judges don't. She is incredibly passionate, genuine and caring and he knows he needs a judge like that on the line-up.
"Simon also loves that Cheryl isn't afraid to stand up to him on the show. He knows their banter will be a massive hit with American audiences. Not only does he want her on American X Factor but he wants her to be sat on the much sought-after seat directly next to him. Cheryl has told Ashley. Now they are working out what to do."

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Cheryl was asked to join the US X Factor a while ago, but she was unsure because she wanted to start a family. So I guess now that Ashley is out of the picture, she's going to do it! I'm all for it! I'm a big fan of Cheryl's and would enjoy her being famous in North America.
I know she's not famous here now, but remember that no one knew who Simon Cowell or Kara Dioguardi were before American Idol. They were just people in the music business, now they're famous. So Cheryl being on the US X Factor would definitly get her some recognition in North America. And it's not like they chose some random British pop star, Cheryl went through a singing competition show to get where she is today, as well as already being a judge on the UK X Factor. She's more than qualified! I think Simon see's it as a launching pad for her career in North America, which is awesome!

I watched Xfactor UK and she plays the cute, sweet girl. I didnt think she was experienced enough in music to pick the best songs or know how to critique. She was in some cheesy girl group with limited talent. The only thing going for her is her looks.
