This is a TWIST!

It was announced this morning that President Barack Obama will attempt to receive some last-minute support for his health care reform policy by appearing on the Fox News Channel tomorrow evening.

The interview, conducted by Sarah Palin Bret Baier will air uninterrupted at 6 p.m. As you can expect, Fox is THRILLED to snag the interview, as Bret explained:

"This is a real opportunity to try to get some firm answers from President Obama on lingering questions about specifics in the health care legislation, the process Democrats are using to try to pass it, and the politics of its passage. And it's an opportunity to try to pin the president down on a few other hot topics. We welcome the opportunity and think it will be a benefit to our viewers."

We hope you know what you are doing, Barack! We've certainly got our TIVOs set in case this turns into an disaster!

And seriously, why isn't Sarah Palin doing this thing? She couldn't possibly be BUSY?!

75% of Americans do not want the Obama Health Care package

Do it over and this time do it right

Obama has turned into one of the hustlers doing 3 card monty on a 42nd st corner

you are being a moron again mario. you don't even watch fox do you? have you ever watched fox? bet you don't. Fox has democrats on all the time. They don't attack the democrats. fox has had an open invitation to the whole congress and white house for the last year. very few have gone on and no one from the white house has the balls to go on. what is DIFFERENT about fox is that they will not let the president, congress, whoever dictate what questions are being asked. UNLIKE STATIONS LIKE NBC THAT HAVE TAKEN PAYOUTS. and WHY must the sarah palin comment come up EVERY TIME MARIO???? I don't think she does interviews like that and I am sure that if she did, they would not put her in that position because of all the liberals saying that fox was out to get obama

Let's be honest, it's not healthcare REFORM but socialized healthcare. The govt will have complete control over every aspect of our lives! Yeah. Obama is a charlatan and everyone better wake up before your freedoms are gone forever.

    5. 5

How much you want to bet the interviewer will talk more than the president. He is going to be given paragraph long "questions" and as soon as he begins to answer, he'll be interrupted with another paragraph long rhetoric.

    6. 6

obama said and did what he knew people wanted to hear and see, so he could get in office. he's like every other disgusting, dirty policitian and getting firm answers from a politician is like trying to collect gold at the end of a rainbow………

    7. 7

oh god racist Fox news! obamas a strong man he'll do good.

    8. 8

I'm sure somehow FIXED News will turn everything around after the interview. Example if he said the sky is blue they will report that the sky isn't blue but red, if Obama tells them that he watches FIXED News they will report he listens to NPR. What a waste of oxygen talking to those hacks.

Re: TRUTH-TELLER – Fox news isn't racist. Have you every watched Fox news or are you simply repeating what you've heard others say?

    10. 10

He is desparate to drum up some conservative support.

Why the hell is it such a big surprise that he's going on Fox News? I think it is a surprise he isn't on there more often considering it is the highest rated and most trusted news channel. Anyone who says otherwise isn't watching Fox News and are only offering opinions based on what they have heard by people who want you to think it's some biased news channel. The only truly bias news channel is MSNBC. I've never seen anything like it…they should be call MSALATT (All liberal all the time) or MSWHR (We hate Republicans). They are rude and crude and totally unprofessional and that reflects in their ratings.

    12. 12

      a disaster for who….bammy?

    13. 13

Didn't the White House say Fox News wasn't a news channel - oh, that's right - that's before they realized they needed Fox and it's millions of viewers. This president is a disaster and so is this disgusting Healthcare bill. He has not kept any of his promises regarding transparency and bipartisanship. His a liar - yes I said it - has nothing to do with his race - just him - he's narcissistic and a liar. As for that hope and change stuff - yes, I am hoping for a change in 2012 (can't get here soon enough).

    14. 14

Perez Staff: Um, he's already been on FOX. Why did this even make it on your site. I just wasted 2 minutes of time….sigh

    15. 15

Sarah Palin is WAY too fucking STUPID to do ANYTHING on fox news without a very simple script, or by reading a teleprompter.

    16. 16

Re: danieltroppy – True..so true. I don't know why the president is even wasting his time with Faux news. We know they don't like anything that this president will ever do. They are racists over there and sore losers. Faux news is the mouthpiece of the obstructionist party. Obama won, he has the majority in both houses. He doesn't need to talk to Faux news

    17. 17

The reason Palin isn't interviewing him is because she is not a newsperson. Unlike MSNBC, Fox uses actual reporters to do interviews on the NEWS shows. Fox- despite popular uninformed opinion- separates the news side from the opinion side. It is very clear when it is a show of commentary and when it is a show of news. Maybe if you watched Fox now and then instead of believing others who never watch it you might know that. Good grief.

    18. 18

Who ever watches Fox ENTERTAINEMNT News anyway, besides simple-minded IDIOTS in trailer parks from Bum-Fuck Iowa.

    19. 19

Perhaps for once we will get an interview that doesn't look like a Communist party rally with people all smiles and waving behind him. It's about time Obama faces the music and answers the tough questions without a tele prompter. And didn't the White House recently say that Fox wasn't a news outlet? I guess they realized that they need the millions of voters who watch it if they are going to remain in office beyond 4 years. The Democrats are actually committing political suicide pushing the bill through the way it is. This should be a great interview.

    20. 20

hopefully they will ask the real questions unlike most journalists who just kiss ass and hopefully he will have the balls to answer them honestly and not like a politician…

    21. 21

      Re: seattleLarry
well, obama is the one who's lost when his teleprompter stops working…

    22. 22

hes going on so fox will stop bitching and feel like they are a real news organization for a second.. which they are not….. it will be awesome Obama will distroy them… it will be a law professer teaching a bunch of whinning children about how the country should be run… hopefully while hes there he will mushroom stamp Glen Beck… go obama!!!!!!!!

    23. 23

Re: Asheville Fitz – oops u got that wrong 75% WANT his health care…. check your facts!!!

    24. 24

Re: seattleLarry – um HELLO, Obama doesn't exist WITHOUT a teleprompter.

    25. 25

Re: caligirl79 – You obviously have never watched Fox. Which is unfortunate, ’cause you would probably learn A LOT and even change your mind about things.

    26. 26

I'd just like to point out here all in favor of FOX and conservatives in general have a lot of information and intelligent things to say on here. And all the liberals who are bashing FOX say NOTHING informative or true and only insult those who are in informed (i.e. "racist" "idiot" "trailer trash") Some of you need to WAKE UP. I can't wait for this interview.

    27. 27

I must admit I am one of the millions that watch Fox News, but let's get something clear here: I watch it for laughs. I don't TRUST 99% of the biased bullshit that's spewed on that channel…I literally watch it to get a laugh, when nothing else is on.

And no, you morons, let me beat you to the punch. I don't rely on getting my news from Jon Stewart and Colbert, although they're about as credible and accurate as the "fair and balanced" news channel is.

    28. 28

Well, he's desperate. What do you expect?
and justfax- FOX definitely attacks dems as often as possible! Do YOU ever watch?

    29. 29

First of all, Obama has been on Fox News before. If I'm not mistaken the interview was with Bill O'Reilly. Secondly, Fox News is biased just like MSNBC is biased. One leans more to the right-wing while the other is targeted towards the left-wing.

    30. $onia says – reply to this

      30

Great, I can just see Hannity and Limbaugh now….doing a voice-over of an edited interview chopped up and cut into blips and pieces, portraying an entirely different dialogue than what was actually stated in the interview. It's frightening how so many people actually believe that Fox provides real and accurate news.

    31. 31

At least the bullshit about the health care reform spread by ignorants conservatives republicans will be clarified!

    32. 32

It would be hilarious to watch Palin interview him. I wouldnt know who I hated more out of that pairing.

    33. 33

The majority of Fox News viewers only watch to have their conservative views validated. In addition to that, there are only around 3.2 million viewers. Of course, not all of them will even watch the interview. Most will wait to be told what to think on the opinion shows. He has nothing of value to gain other than to say that he tried to reach out.

Also, to put Fox News' influence in perspective, he would reach 2 to 3 million more people by making a guest appearance on "Heroes", a show that might be canceled due to low ratings. Cable news networks do not matter. They're distractions that are only there to create conflict to increase ratings.

    34. 34

Re: Kt_Cooter – LOL… I recently became acquainted with a Fox loving Republican who talked such drivel as young people don't want insurance because they are young (bullshit), and homeless people are homeless because they want to be. Yeah, SUPER intelligent.

    35. 35

I dont care about Dems or Repub. I don't care about Fox - MSNBC - CNN. Everyone has an opinion. it's your right. I am more confused as to way Mario is reporting this now when Obama was schedule to appear on this date back on FOX back in January.

    36. 36

You know what bothers me? Americans and their objections to the healthcare thing. Okay, maybe not downright bothers me, but more a nagging feeling. Wouldn't it be that same kind of thing that they do in western Europe and Canada? Doesn't it work out beautifully there? Seriously, people are acting like the guy is trying to impose a dictatorship.
On a separate topic, Fox News and MSNBC are BOTH so biased. Worse than Perez, at times. It's hilarious. I watch simply for the lulz.
Re: Ohiogirl – What you said about Obama (narcissistic, a liar, etc.) is true for 99.99999% of the politicians out there. Republican, Democrat, or whatever else you might say, they fit in most of those categories. If you expect change from those traits, you might want to seek out an alternate dimension. If you expect a change just because of the party (hello, most republicans do at this time, just like democrats did during Bush's years), then you're closer to seeing that happening. Unless Palin is chosen as the candidate (yes, I know some people think she's great and whatever, but if she goes all "I can see Russia from my house!" again, she'll loose a considerable amount of votes.), in which case, the chances of that diminish enormously.

    37. 37

@ EVERYONE: Why does everybody expect the president (especially those recently elected) to be a GODDAMN MIRACLE WORKER? I don't just mean Obama, but really anytime there's been a switch in parties, people expect a frickin' miracle worker, who'll snap his fingers and the world will be a utopia. Get. Real. Kudos to those who understand this (a minority).
