We don't imagine Kirstie Alley will be invited back to The Today Show anytime soon, after her outburst this morning!

Before host Meredith Vieira got down to interviewing Kirstie , the show ran a clip-reel that at one point suggested her new diet program has a connection to Scientology. When they came back to studio from the segment, Kirstie let her mouth FLY!

      If anyone overreacted, it was NBC in their assertion that her legitimate business is a front for Scientology. She had a sense of humor about it and didn't bash anyone. She could have. Perez, you need to CHILL. Stop cooking up drama that just. isn't. there.

      How can you say she overreacted? I think she conducted herself quite well in this interview, even when the question of how she credits Scientology with helping her with her cocaine problem she answered the question quickly as where other Scientology followers such as Tom Cruise would have launched into a whole diatribe on how the addiction programs works and it's fanatasic results she just answered yes it had helped her and went on to the next question. As per usual Perez has to make everything appear worse that it is by using a screen capture of the interview where it looks like Kirstie is angry but in reality she is just in the middle of a thought.

      I wonder though why we all bother to even comment on anything Perez writes, not once have a seen him respond in a comment section to defend his postion or God forbid acknowledge he is wrong as opposed to someone like Trent at Pink is the New Blog who constantly is responding to comments on his site. Maybe if he did he would gain a little respect instead of being seen as the hypocritical joke that he is.

      As a network interviewer Meredith sure seemed to lose her objectivity in the interview, along with this whole piece. I thought better of Meredith. She's going through a rough time, but that's no need to lose her edge. Kirstie kept her cool and kept her rocking sense of humor. I thought the term "Scientology Jew" to describe the accountant was really funny, and very much Kirstie.

      But I do think she's a beautiful woman regardless of her size. You are neither beautiful or humble regardless of your size.
