Because the show is dirt cheap and Gordon Ramsay's dirt broke!
Fox announced this morning that it was green-lighting a second season of Kitchen Nightmares, the reality show in which Gordon goes to "struggling" restaurants and berates them into perfection.
The news comes on the heels of the announcement that Gordon's own empire, Gordon Ramsay New York, has been listed by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance as among the Big Apple's top 250 business "delinquent tax payers".
That's a big no-no, Gordon! Maybe you should have a very special episode where you save your own ass!

your link is NOT from fox and YOU NEED TO LEARN TO READ. Nowhere does it say second season, it says another season. It also says the restaurant humiliation show. Don't think that person watches either. I think of the show as being served the truth before going bankrupt. Those restaurants already humiliated themselves. gordon is a Godsend to them, redoing the places, teaching the cooks to cook, redoing the menus-how is that humiliating?
how is he broke if he's got more than one show on the air, and a few dozen restaurants around the world? yeah……
Gordon Ramsay has 3 Michelin Stars. I doubt Perez knows what even 1 Michelin Stars tastes like.
I'm so sorry to learn that Ramsey screwed up his financial empire because this show is such a great guilty pleasure. I don't know what it is with Brits, but they have an impeccable ability to make you feel like shit while the underlying message is to raise you up to be the best.
Anyway, I'm glad this show is staying on the air.
