Green Day Working On New Album

According to lead singer Billie-Joe Armstrong, Green Day is already working on the new album. Their last one came out less than a year ago.
"We did some demos in Berlin, some in Stockholm, some just outside of Glasgow and some in Amsterdam," said Armstrong. "We wanted to get [the new songs] down in some early form."
They began working on their new stuff during their downtime on their European tour late last year.

Well, that's disappointing to hear…I was hoping they would just disappear. They haven't had a good album since Dookie. Green Day sucks. Maybe if they sang good songs instead of insisting on making political statements, I might enjoy listening to them.

nope, I wont be buying their music. That's because they haven't had anything decent since the 90's. All their post 90's music has been repetitive, emo, and boring. So unless they revive their old style/sound I don't want anything to do with them.

everyone keeps saying the same thing. oh they are sellouts. oh they sing the same shit that's watered down. grow up. how can you be a sellout for putting food on the table. who gives a shit if billie joe wears eyeliner. the fact that you bash behind the safety of your own little computers is funny. i gurantee the majority of you would be too scared to mutter any of that stuff to their faces. they have kept true to their roots - either by supporting upcoming bands with Adaline Records or side projects. what about rancid or nofx all on subsidiaries of major labels. green day had a natural evolution if you actually listen to the songs he doesn't bash bush - although he hasn't hid his dislike for him - none of the songs were wirtten about him. he is writing about characters. it must seem hard to follow but it really isn't. if you still want albums about losing your girlfriend go listen to all that other recycled nickelback sounding garbage on the radio. i am super proud of the success they have gained. they deserve it. billie joe is the most humble and amazing dude i have ever had the privilidge to talk to. it's a shame that a man's life can just be attacked. i know i might evoke a bunch of responses but who cares about it. keep you're "i'm more punk than you" for your boring suburban life. if you're so good at this music thing - let's hear it.
I don't get it. They must have an awesome PR team. You write "We're Back" on their picture, but they've never been gone. Every single time they go into the studio, a huge deal is made. Hmmm, has it ever occurred to anyone that musicians record? Oh, wait I get it now! We're so accustomed to "artists" that make one album and then disappear that it is newsworthy when a band goes in to record a new album. This makes me really, really sad for the music industry and for fans of music.
