"ConnieCaps was born out of my love for my late mother, and a desire to bring beauty and warmth to the lives of people who are fighting the difficult battle against cancer. Here at ConnieCaps, we provide cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy with beautiful, stylish, and hand-crafted hats free of charge. All of our hats are made from quality materials hand-knit by volunteer knitters. Please get in touch with us if you are currently in treatment for cancer, and would like a hat. We would love to make your day a little better with a hat that is as special as you are.

We are a 501(c)(3) corporation, which means your donations are tax deductible. If you'd like to donate, please go look at our donation page. We have multiple ways to donate, and only a small amount helps keep us running. If you would like to volunteer to knit, or have further questions about hats or donations, feel free to contact me!"

What an amazing charity! This made me want one/more of those hats…to be as talented as someone who can knit these, at least… :)

Hate to pop the bubble, but these 501 (c)(3) charities are usually set-up to make sure the "Directors" of the charity rakes-in HUGE salaries while giving VERY LITTLE to their "Causes".

Save your money and go to a local craft store IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD and buy some hats, and donate them to YOUR local hospital's cancer ward!

@ rejco100: I realize that might be the case with some charities, but I assure you that I am 100% legit. I have not taken any profit of any kind from this charity, nor do I intend to. Please don't judge every charity on the behavior of others.

My mom does this same thing with her church. They have a club that knits tons of these caps (they call them "chemo caps")…and they have had a great response. They do a ton of pink ones for the breast cancer walk every year. People love it! It's a great idea….
