Corey Haim Used Up To 20 Doctors For Drugs

The California Attorney General spoke to CNN and has fueled the theory that Corey Haim accidently killed himself from a drug overdose.
He confirms that through their investigation, officials have learned that Corey visited up to 20 doctors to ensure that he would get the fix he needed. Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. explained:
"How many people go to 10, 15 or 20 doctors and then run around to 10, 12 and more pharmacies to go fulfill them? And sometimes two different doctors on the same day? If he took all the pills that our records show he was prescribed over the last year and three months, he took some very damaging assaults on his body."
Very sad.
We wonder if these doctors were used instead of or in addition to the massive drug ring Corey was allegedly a part of that used stolen identities of docs to get drugs.

That's what's wrong with the "medicare/health care" system in North America today. Isn't there a prescription database in California to prevent this from happening??? Very very sad. Don't judge the man, but the system that enabled him to do this.
Could you all let these people rest in peace already. He's gone. You bloggers continuing to speculate on what he was doing, how long he was doing it….that shit isn't helping now…HE'S DEAD!!! Move on, let his family move on. When you lose someone you think that after you bury them you can start trying to put the pieces of your life back together, but with the 24 hour gossip blogs these families have to relive this bullshit everyday because assholes like you won't leave it alone.
Pharmacies need to be connected and names need to be recorded so pharmacists can know if a person has been to more than one doctor and exactly what has been prescribed to that person. With technology today, that shouldn't be hard to do.
It's sad that hollywood losers like these lie to doctors to get painpills and then die..Which sparks a huge investigation because the person was a "celebrity" (using that term loosely especially on this site) but the people that actually -need- them get denied by doctors..
When someone is addicted to pain pills esp.. people will go to ALL ENDS to get said pills. There are people who can take 60 70 pills A DAY. Addiction to pain pills is brutally painful.. Yes thats an oxy moron but its true. The pain coming off these pills is inhuman so people would rather say on em and do whatever it takes to get em.. Very sad and brutal.
These doctors are absolutely responsible. Any doctor doling out controlled medication like this should be tracking all of his filled prescriptions on a prescription monitoring service. LOOK IT UP! PMS!
didn't it just come out that he was part of a ring that used fraudulent doctors pads to write perscriptions without the doctors involved knowing? seriously perez…. you're slacking big time

LEAVE COREY ALONE. For the sake of all the fans, family, friends and people who loved and still love him just LEAVE HIM ALONE. He can't defend himself and no one really knows or will ever know what was going on with him in the days before his death. You did the same thing to every other celebrity who died of drug related causes, you post all the bad info you can about them at a time when they can't defend themselves. Can no one believe he was trying to get better?? You don't know if he was taking all those pills and if he had lived a long and full life like he deserved to then we could've seen if he was getting better.

First of all RIP Corey but I have to say that I am not surprised.
This is another reason why I don't give a rat's ass why and how he died. The guy died broke, but has the money to go to doctor after doctor, getting prescription after prescription- add bus fare or gas money on top of that. He made the decision to overmedicate himself- which resulted in his own death. There are millions of people who are truly sick who can't afford doctors and prescriptions and there are others who abuse the system. RIP Corey- what did you think was going to happen to you?

TURE STORY, WHEN I WAS 19 I WENT TO A VERY FAMOUS DOCTOR WHO IS ON TV NOW TO GET ANY KIND OF DRUGS I WANTED AND HE GAVE ME THEM. I DID THIS FOR YEARS UNTIL I MOVED FROM L.A. DOCTORS WILL GIVE YOU DRUGS. IT'S SAD KIND OF.
Re: TheRockChick – I was addicted to pain pills years ago and detox by myself. I went to work and school every day. I took massive amounts of motrin for the withdrawl pain and had a horrible cold for three weeks. but that was it. it took 3 weeks to feel better and get my appetitie back. i was taking 20-30 pills a day and i bought them from a drug supply company. back then, no one was addicted like they are now.
He got what he deserved — he gladly threw himself down the hole over and over. No one could save him so stop portraying him as some sort of victim to these docs. There will ALWAYS be docs helping the rich and famous to self medicate. And if not docs, then people on the street will sell it. I say let them all drop off the planet so those of us who are living clean and trying to raise our children clean can do so.
No offense, but i dont care. Enough about him, he's dead, yes i feel bad for his family, but his death is not a big shocker. He was one of those child stars who turned to drugs because he couldn't handle being famous. He couldn't get clean for nearly 20 years, so i wasn't surprised to hear he died. Now, he's dead, was a drug overdose. Thats all we need to know, there shouldn't be anything more than that.
