GaGa Sued By Douchey Ex For $30 Million!
Rob Fusari is a songwriter, music producer and - according to him - Lady GaGa's former lover. But the douchey ex went to a Manhattan court on Wednesday to get the ball rolling on a lawsuit against GaGa for $30.5 million dollars!
The suit claims that Rob helped create GaGa's image and was even instrumental in writing some of her songs.
The details of the lawsuit suggest that when Rob met GaGa back in 2006, she was still just going by Stefani Germanotta and he recommended she change it to Lady GaGa, after the Queen song, Radio Ga Ga.
After they joined up professionally, Rob and GaGa formed a joint venture call Team Love Child LLC and he claims to have introduced her to the record executive that would later put out her album, The Fame.
Obviously, something between then and now went wrong for the couple and they parted ways, but with that came Rob's claims that he was denied a percentage of song royalties and mechandising revenue that he was due.
Now, he wants to see all this $$$ come to him!

It seems to me, he didn't realize she'd be as popular, and now he wants a cut of the pie as well. He only co-wrote like 4 songs on the album; I don't know if that's worth $30 mil. As for her, she has always said in interviews that friends (although she didn't specify which one) came up with the name Lady GaGa, so it's not like she really lied about it or tried to claim it as her creation.

My question is why wait until now? If her changing her name to "Lady Gaga" and helping her put out "The Fame" was something he did enough in retrospect to be held accountable for monetarily than why would he wait until AFTER "The Fame" was released, and after "The Fame Monster" was released? Because she is making money and he wants some. Anyone with any credibility to the situation that REALLY was a part of the creation of such an international superstar, who's made millions at this point, would not have waited until now to bring about a law suit. Something just seems off about the timing. Sounds to me like he encouraged her to change her name and he introduced her to the person who ended up producing her album and got mad he ended up with nothing, but people don't get paid for encouragement and introductions unfortunately and if he did co-write and help write any of the songs WITHOUT a contract or some sort of promise from them for royalties, again that sounds like HIS problem.

If everything is as she says it is, it'll come out. Instead of being outraged, you should be pleased that she has this opportunity to publicly prove herself to her detractors. I will be highly suspicious (of her) if she settles out of court with this guy, tbh. But if you're absolutely sure that she's in the right here, then you should have no problem with the lawsuit (other than the fact that lawsuits are an expensive nuisance, of course). So wait and see, right?

Hello? He DID co-write her songs and he DID come up with her Gaga identity. She can claim all she wants that she was 'always Gaga' but the evidence shows the opposite to be true. Any of the videos of her performing as a teen (and forward) all show a completely different (i.e., regular/normal) look and sound - and you yourself have shown these videos on this site, Perez. The Gaga identity was made up and surfaced out of the blue - she was not always Gaga as she suddenly claims. I hope this guy prevails in his lawsuit and shows your 'wifey' to be the phony that she obviously is.

Actually, she is claiming that the persona was always hers - which is bullshit. Take a look at any of her videoed performances before she met this guy - her entire look, style and persona were completely different. The name Gaga itself is almost irrelevant.
