In case you were wondering, Hollywood seems uninterested with any kind of original material these days.
So the latest flick to get a rework in the Hollywood machine is The Monster Squad.
The cult '80s flick is about s group of kids who realize the classic monsters they love, like Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Wolf Man, are actually real and are looking to find an amulet that will help them control the world.
Don't remake it, we like the original as is!

So, as an 80s teen…and a very cool one at that..
…It kills me to see all of the great movies being "remade". Can't we just leave them alone. They were great for a reason.
They re-made Fame……..sucked!! And I hear they're going to remake Footloose and a few others……….No one could replace Kevin Bacon or Chris Penn………Hell, even my kids love all the John Hughes movies…….and they're teens now…..They could also leave the 80s songs alone too…….those remakes aren't that great either!

the original is a favorite of my childhood and i hadnt seen it since, then i noticed one night it was on so i watched it…it was fucking terrible!!! i remember it foundly but fuck it was bad, so go ahead remake it, its not cassablanca or anything.

Love it. Love the idea of a remake. I was absolutely obsessed with this movie as a kid. Unfortunately this past Halloween I decided to revisit it with my son. He was not as impressed with the special effects as we once were, to say the least. LOL. It's not a bad idea to bring such a great movie back and make it more accessible to the younger ones by updating the effects.
They seriously can not do this to my favorite movie of all times. Are they going to use the same script word for word? UGHH horrible Idea! And Jesus it took us 20 years just to get the damn thing released on DVD and now all of a sudden they are gonna remake it.. BULL!!!!!
They WILL ruin it like they do everything else. This irritates me greatly, and they will not get as DIME of my money. I knew this one was coming. Why can't they leave well enough alone or come up with their own stuff? As the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", ya know?
