My Dick To Be First Student Musical On The Charts!

We've gotta hand it to them!

The University of Michigan's production of Me and My Dick debuted at #11 on the Top Cast Albums chart. No other student musical can claim that achievement!

Considering it's sandwiched between the London recording of Phantom of the Opera at #10 and Rock of Ages at #12, it's quite impressive.

"We can't believe the company we're in. So many of our classmates just could not believe this news. Least of all us. We do think the No. 12 (cast album) must be very confused," said A.J. Holmes, who co-wrote the show's music and lyrics.

The show revolves around a "boy with a very special relationship with his very best friend … his Dick! Together they face the trials of growing up, love, sex and high school, but these two best pals are in for the adventure of a lifetime."

      hahaha, i loved this play… who ever likes harry potter, watch a very potter musical by these guys on youtube, the sequel is this summer…. AMAZING!

      This has been out for a while and it's good to see that it's getting recognition. It's so clever and funny. And the same group of people did "A Very Potter Musical" which is just AMAZING

      Aww, that's nice! They made "A Very Potter Musical" and it might be the best piece of fanwork I've ever seen :D Makes me laugh every time and is… Totally awesome! They deserve their success.

      THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER. Not even kidding. So is A Very Potter Musical. It's actually hilarious, and genius. I died of laughter several times throughout. My school's known about this for months… It's not uncommon to be heard humming the theme. AMAZINGNESS

      Re: jayden james – Give me a break. You know, perhaps if you watch beyond the first part of the first act. Me And My Dick is not just stupid potty humor and sexual innuendos. Granted, there is that humor, but it's way smarter than that. It's an incredibly interesting story about the way we interact with our sexualities and the taboos surrounding them - and it's shameless, but not at all graphic…incredibly tasteful, it deals more with romance than sex. The music and lyrics are sheer brilliance, and the comedy is uniquely delivered. Perhaps you are the one who needs to grow up and learn to have a little fun rather than closing your mind at any celebration of male sexuality.

      Went to youtube and watched the all the clips. It's kind of long but it's the whole play. I loved it. Great play.

      But this part is just so funny (:
