Nigel Slams Paula!
Nigel Lythgoe was asked about Paula Abdul and if he'd be trying to get her on So You Think You Can Dance as a judge again.
Nigel's response?
"No. I spent an entire season wooing her and if she was ever going to do it, she would have. The timing was perfect for her and I was rather shocked she didn't pick up and join us at any point. I mean, Katie Holmes was there, Jennifer Lopez was there.
I know we don't have Idol money and so does Paula, but at the end of the day I do plenty of things for no money because I want to support dance. And as an dancer/performer/choreographer, I would have thought she'd like to support us."
He also seemed to take a jab at Ellen DeGeneres on American Idol and Simon Cowell's engagement! Nigel says:
"It's a strange world out there — they're booking comedians as singing judges, Simon's getting married and Paula might do 'Star Search!' And why would he get engaged? Simon doesn't need to get engaged unless it's for publicity! Why wouldn't he just get married?"
Well this guy is just FULL of opinions, isn't he?
And we distinctly remember his show having a comedian booked as a dancing guest-judge!

Nigel gave Paula her chance at a come back when he signed her to be a judge on American Idol in the first place. Don't forget that fact. Apparently Paula has forgotten it. She could have least given the man a phone call. It was very bad form not to. Now I don't blame him for being a littel bit pissed at her for the diss.
Nigel is a fucking self-absorbed old, tired fool. He is bitter that Paula rejected his moronic invites to appear on Dance - and, for-the-record, Simon's fiance (Mezghan) quit as Nigel's make up artist after years of abuse and sexual harassment. So his bitter comments about the engagement are pathetic rants from a bitter old lonely man.

As much as I love Ellen's talk show, I'm not feeling her on Idol and yes she did judge on SYTYCD but as a "Guest" Judge. She is a full time judge on Idol and that makes a huge difference.
