Now that the Big O is abandoning daytime TV for realsies, is it time for Rosie to return???
Winfrey will be wrapping up her daytime talk show in 2011, and insiders say O'Donnell is contemplating the idea reviving her daytime talk career!
Rosie's The Rosie O'Donnell show was a huge, huge success in the late 90's/early 00's, and before Split-Screen Gate in 2007, O'Donnell was making waves on The View.

Well when she had her old show she was the queen of nice. Then when she went on The View I think Hasselback, well hassled her back and drove her about off the deep end which I could actually see happen to a lot of people. I don't really know if it would be easy to come back from that. Her persona for the public is different now and I don't know if it will be easy for her to be easily accepted by a lot of the people that think like Elizabeth's type shall we say. I have a feeling Rosie has lost some of that type of demographic. I have no idea if she ever had it to begin with, but in my opinion she may have. I think she used to appeal to a lot wider audience before she ever did The View.
Who would watch her now? When she first had her talk show all those years ago, she was a seemingly pleasant person and people loved watching her show because it was FUN! As it turns out, this woman is a raging lunatic. I would definitely NOT waste the time.

Sure let her return….does that mean I'll will watch no. I enjoyed Rosie's show and also while she was on the Veiw, but she always (or those around her) seem to screw it up. I think her depression or something gets in the way. She is a bully that picks and picks and picks until she gets "punched" in the nose then she tucks her tail and then goes on to spew venom.
She does alot of good, her charities, her school, and she seems to be a good mom (outside looking in). But she has tried a comeback after the Veiw The whole Variety show thing which was a huge flop.
People like her even love her ( I do) but shes like inviting that favorite uncle that drinks too much, over for Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone is having a great time..laughing and enjoying themselves until Uncle "Rosie" has his first drink….at that point everyones notices their stomachs drop and the mood changes and everyone knows its only a matter of time before things are going to go badly.
Its going to take one bad interaction with a guest, and everyone is going to remember Tom Selleck, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Donald Trump, Barbara Walters and countless others and then……

I enjoy her satellite radio show and I didn't know how much I missed her until I heard her again. She is a breath of fresh air from all the politically correct shows on TV. Prior to her former talk show, she stated that it was going to be like Merv Griffin and/or the old Michael Douglas show. I liked her show, but I found her interviews pretty shallow. While Merv Griffin was known for showing a genuine interest in his guests during interviews, I felt like Rosie was too distracted by her kushie balls and other desk toys to involve herself with the guests very much. Her satellite radio gig is much better, I think, than her previous television show. No, I don't think she should return to the small screen anytime soon.
If she came back the show would be huge!! …but all the gossip shows like ET, Access Hollywood and of course Fox News would take every little comment out of context and try to make some sort of international crisis. That sh1t stresses me out.

I really, really loved her on The View. She is intelligent and opinionated as well as funny and crafty. I learned so much when she was on. Her daytime talk show I never really watched. I wish she would do a show similar to The View.
I'm not sure if she should return to TV. I listen to her show on XM radio and I think that is an excellent venue for her. She can say whatever she wants without being censored. And for those Rosie haters out there, just know that she donates tons of money and time for Rosie's Broadway Kids and she donated a ton of money to the VA hospital in Texas. Before you bash someone, please get to know all the facts about a person. You can disagree with her politics but overall, she is a good person.
