Even though The Price of Beauty premiered to shiteous ratings, Simpson is hoping VH1 will pick up the show for a second season!
"Right now, I'm promoting this (show), and hopefully we'll be doing a season two and hopefully just travel more," says Jessica.

Although, we are talking about the network that most recently forked the $$$ over for Frank the Entertainer: In A Basement Affair…

Season 2 will be shot and will air. Even if her ratings weren't that great, Vh1 has strung out all of their shows and spun them into countless I Love NYs, Flavors, RoLs, DoL, etc. They have no more New Yorks, Daisys, or Franks to recreate, so they will need something to fill the time. Hopefully something better than Tool Academy season 4! Sometimes I ponder if anyone even likes that show, much less watches it.

The show is getting a lukewarm response and will not be getting a 2nd season.

As far as her claiming she is a size 6, designer clothing sizes are not the same as regular sizing so a size six designer is way bigger than regular size six.

I loved this show!! It's interesting to learn as much about the world in every aspect that it has to offer! Sure beauty rituals of different societies may not be the most pressing issues of our times but I like it! Go Jessica!! Also Frank the Entertainer is one of mah faves as well so I guess I must have some pretty bad taste. Oh wellz.

Like the idea of the show but I agree with one poster that it needs to focus more on the subject and less on Jessica. When I heard about this show I thought that maybe there was more to Jessica than what the tabloids spew. The editing on this show does not help that AND it is almost insulting the viewer's integrity.

I actually like Jsimpleton's show… and I don't especially like her, so go figure. I just felt like it was out of place on THAT CHANNEL. Like, it would be better if on TLC or Discovery or something. But… come one, Oprah had some episodes where she looked at beauty treatments in other countries and they were really poplar episodes. So, I don't think it's the topic thats the problem.
First of all, Frank the entertainer is amazing…. It's trashy reality tv at it's best!
And I LOVE Jessica and her show.. I hope it gets picked up.

I watched the first show and loved it!! I think it has a great message and really makes you think about what this society has come too!

I watched the first show. Although, I think the concept was a good idea, Jessica Simpson can't pull off being a host. I was surprised to see that Jessica is still doing the Ignorant dumb blonde routine at the age of 30. I was surprised to see that she hasn't matured at all as far as being a host of a show. The concept of the show is not a new idea, I have seen it all before on History, Learning, and Discovery channels. If I want to watch shows about other cultures beauty, I will watch more reputable channels with more reputable hosts. If I want to watch a dumb blonde jump up an down who says stupid things, I'll watch Jessica Simpson. I won't waste my time and watch the 2nd show.
