Maniston's The Bounty Hunter only hit #3 at the box office this weekend, with Alice in Wonderland and the film adaptation of Diary of a Wimpy Kid taking the respective #1 and 2 spots!
The predictable romantic comedy, featuring Man and Gerard Butler, is only expected to earn $20.5 mil by the weekend's close!
Pretty shitty considering the movie cost $50 million to make!

Was actually reall un funny and boring. I was really disapointed as I usually like Jen and Gerard.
I think the movie's longevity in box offices will pay off and probably profit greatly! Probably not Avatar-greatly — but i expect Bounty Hunter to be at least remotely well done. It's tough to forecast sales when you're contrasting these 3-d films, like AIW with non-3-d films because the cinematic experience is so different, and the markets of the film are different.
That also means that every OTHER adult movie was beaten by family friendly flicks, and did worse than Jen and Gerard's movie. So, why aren't you saying that Gerard Butler needs to rethink his career? You're being a little bitch.

The budget was 40 mil, not 50. It's generally considered to be a good sign if you gross 1/2 the cost on the first weekend. They'll break even at the theatre and the DVD and rentals will all be profit. Pretty normal for a Rom Com.
