Eek!!

Victor Willis, the original cop in The Village People, is threatening to sue producers of The Cleveland Show!!

Willis says that a press release falsely claims the singer provided a voice-over in the episode Buried Pleasure for a character in his likeness who parades around in short shorts and eventually jumps "on the backside of a male after effeminately yelling, 'Dog pile!'"

Linda Smith, Willis' spokesperson, says:

"Victor was offended by the episode and says he would never have agreed to do a voiceover for such an offensive portrayal of the Village People police character originally created by him. Victor is appalled by the show's portrayal. He never wore shorts as the original Village People lead singer and cop. So how does Fox justify such an outright false portrayal, while publishing to the world that Victor Willis did the voiceover - and now it's all over the internet, clearly suggesting to the public that the cop character portrayed in the show is Victor Willis. He does not endorse the show or its portrayal. Moreover, he did not do that insulting and effeminate Cleveland Show voiceover."

Willis has sent producers a cease and desist letter of intent to sue, and demands an apology from FOX, immediate correction of the press release, suspension of further broadcast of the episode in question, pending corrections, and an unspecified amount of monetary damages.

We think Willis is probably probably his 'offensive' portrayal out of proportion, but we think it's pretty STOOPID to falsely credit someone for a potentially offensive part if he didn't actually contribute his voice!!

What do U think?? Is The Cleveland Show in the wrong??

The Cleveland Show is in the wrong for not being funny. at all. Family Guy's still great, and American Dad is okay. and Seth MacFarlane is super bone-able. but still, cleveland show sucks.

Oh come on, the village people guy is upset at being portrayed as gay and effeminate? That is what they are known for and what they have portrayed themselves as for years. I am gay and even I think they are too gay. But he shouldn't be shocked, he knew what he was doing when he did the show. He just wants more cash, I am sure that demand for live performances of YMCA and Go West are not that in demand. A judge will laugh, they have made a career of being over the top gay and have given gays a negative image for years. Because of them, they world thinks all gay men dress as cops, indians and other crap and wear those stupid large mustaches. It's disgusting and it degrades us all. It's like the pride fests where they only show the drag queens and bulldaggers without shirts on TV. They want us to appear to be freaks when most of us are normal people. He got what he deserved.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show! I watch weekly & this is the 1st I've ever heard of this. On top of that, whenever I hear a celebrity voice on any Seth MacFarlane show, I assume it's not the "real" voice. (A lot of the time it turns out to actually BE their voice)
He should be happy he's relevant in any way, shape or form at this point! Especially on a hit sitcom!

I wonder why they lied and said Victor Willis did the voiceover ? He could probably get some small change for that lie. The group was a gay group. After, he left the group, he disclosed he wasn't gay. By the time that was disclosed, the group was longer popular. His disclosure got very little press. I never thought he was gay. He was married to Phylicia Rashad (Bill Cosby's tv wife).
