Padma Lakshmi's Babydaddy Ain't Messin' Around!

We reported earlier that Padma Lakshmi finally revealed the name of her newborn's biological father, but insisted that they agreed he would have a limited role in her life.

Now it seems that the daddy, Adam Dell, is no longer happy with this arrangement and he is pulling out the big guns to fight. Adam has hired the best-of-the-best in lawyers, Bill Zabel, to represent him as he forges ahead with plans to have more visitation with his child.

Wonder how many phone calls his brother, billionaire computer wiz Michael Dell, had to make to get this to happen?!

But even with the legal champ in his corner, Adam may have a long fight ahead of him. Padma's people stand firm that the two had an "agreement" concerning his child that he can not go back on.

And so the war begins…

coulda saved herself the hassle and just gone to a sperm bank.

He will win this, the law is on his side, agreement or no agreement.

  3. 3

If three wasn't a signed contract she may as well save the money and give up now. Even WITH a contract sperm donors have been able to alter terms of deals. She is going to lose this one.

  4. 4

What the hell is wrong with people. Think about who your getting in bed with before you get into bed. This child is a product of two totally different worlds.

  5. 5

a contract like she's talking about doesn't exist in the US… i'm not sure what kook told her otherwise. except in adoption cases or situations with extreme violence/drugs/etc, the law presumes all children have two parents who they have a right to see until they're 18. there's even many instances of sperm donor agreements being thrown out the window because daddy decided he finally wanted to know his child.

I like Padma but if the father is willing to be in the child's life, I say give him a chance!

  7. 7

… but …. she might not have gotten wealthy DELL sperm.

I agree with Cute puppy, when parents want rights to children, they usually get them! He also has deeper pockets than she does. She is so beautiful, why just get knocked up? strange decision

I'm an attorney and she doesn't stand a chance. Padma's legal team is robbing her if they don't let her know this.

Whether they made an 'agreement' or not you would have thought that being supposedly intelligent people, they would have realised that once the baby actually came along that feelings would become involved. I think the father has every right to see his child, and if the mother stops this or attempts to stop this from happening the child will resent her later in life BIG STYLE!! Do what is in the best interests of that baby, not yourself!

Padma is an idiot. Never liked fish-face and her inability to speak clearly and use her diaphragm. Dude, she had a Dell and now she's screwed. Any smart woman would have either gone to a sperm bank or just not told him whose it was. What a moron.

  12. 12

If she really didn't want the guy to be involved in the childs'life, why didn't she just find a nobody to get prego by? someone who wud not have enuf $ to come after her,not the cofounder of dell computers. Shuda got a sperm donor.

  13. 13

If she doesn't want him to be the baby daddy, I'll take him….

  14. 14

Please….agreements are not set in stone…it's why such things as AMENDMENTS exist. Things change. He probably agreed before the baby was born because he wasn't 100% sure it was his. Now that he is sure…he wants to be more involved in his kids life and that my friends….is a positive thing. You can tell Padma is a b…itch. How quick was she to dump Mr. Lakshimi once she scored her gig with Bravo? Well Padma, is not your bubble Mr Dell lives in..hahahahahhah

  15. 15

Yikes, that's what she gets for being a gold-digger. Of course she didn't opt for a sperm donor; a sperm donor won't be paying her millions for the next 18 years!!!

  16. 16

She latched herself on to a CA$H cow. She knew what she was doing from day one.

  17. 17

I don't know who this woman is but I do know who Adam Dell is and I hope he wins. When will women learn that Dads have rights too.

  18. 18

Padma wouldn't give this Peter Brady-looking guy another look if he wasn't loaded. I hope he wins.

  19. 19

It's just not right for a man (or anyone really) to come between a mother and her baby, there's a reason he wants the courts to be involved, he wants to control the visits instead of trying to work with Padma. I don't think any child needs a father like that already disrespecting the mother like this. If he cared about his child's well being he would not run to the courts to dominate the child's life like that.

Unless P's got that "agreement" on paper he most certainly can go forward with anything he wants. Always. Get. It. In. Writing. And why on Earth would she get pregnant w/ a flesh & blood man if all she wanted was a baby? Why not go w/ sperm donation and save the time, trouble, and headache in dealing with someone who can (and has the right to) change their mind about visitation? Unless he gave up parental rights, he's going to win this.
